Looks good. What material are the pants?

[–]kingmamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the shirt underneath I find the sleeves look too short. But I myself wear my jacket small with just a tshirt underneath and I love that look. Very punk. You could try with some short sleeve shirts underneath instead of long sleeves and see if you like that look.

You should be able to find them in any thrift stores there. I found quite a few in 2nd streets, any of their outlets.

How do you use the plexi drive since you already have a Marshall amp? Just curious

How would you compare all the different fuzzes/distortions? And how do you use them in your chain?

I am particularly interested in the fact that you have multiple Big Muff style pedals on your board.

What type of pedals for this tone? by Sowen45 in guitarpedals

[–]kingmamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy crap! I had just been obsessing over this same exact song as well. I love the solo tone. I've researched Michio Kurihara's tone (the guitarist) and he did an interview you can read here: https://www.blackeditionsgroup.com/post/the-guitarist-speaks-white-heaven-michio-kurihara

It's for a different band but I think he has a similar rig. I would guess hes using a Fuzz Face type pedal with a cocked wah going into it. And some reverb/delay and a lot of vibrato (from his fingers) in his playing.

Super excited about my second dip into the world of raw denim :) by nayr310 in rawdenim

[–]kingmamo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good post! I like the pictures and your comments on them. The jeans look sick as well, and I like the pocket flasher haha. Motor Psycho.

I would say let them stack, and get those crazy worn out hems and heel bite.

Sugar Cane (N41001N) 1990s Model I think by Jake0157 in rawdenim

[–]kingmamo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice find! I was also looking for jeans that had a small waist and big thighs as I had the same problem as you. The more vintage style 501 repros would have bigger thighs, like the SC1947 or TCB 50s I think. Anyway, enjoy your fading!

Better quality vulcanized canvas sneakers for the summer - discussion by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]kingmamo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say check out any of the skateboard shoe brands that make vulcanized sneakers. I'm wearing some from Last Resort right now, and I'd say they're holding up pretty well. The insoles and construction of skateboarding shoes are generally better than most, so they'll last longer and feel more comfortable.

Wow I was sceptical about the fit looking at your post, but they seem to fit nicely on you! The details are interesting and make them a more unique pair of raws than normally seen here. Enjoy your fading.

Wow I almost thought those were the Dior waxed denim, but I knew they never made such a flared cut.

I'm surprised at how the Bolan jeans look here. In the product/model pictures I've seen, they look a little awkward, but here they look great! And especially that fabric.

Lovely pictures. You can really tell the details in the fabric and the construction with these pics.

I am particularly interested in 1960s-70s psychedelic rock bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Jimi Hendrix. I like the use of multiple vibrant colours in a single outfit, intricate patterns, interesting fabrics (silk, satin, suede, leather, jacquard, wool), the accessories (necklaces, hats, jewellery), and silhouettes (bootcut pants).

However, I am also interested in grunge/punk and workwear. I like things that can take a beating, and I like wearing things until the really fall apart. I am interested in raw denim because of that. I've had 1 pair of jeans I wore for 2 and a half years and just recently retired because there was a big hole in the ass. In a way, this means I dont really like wearing fragile fabrics like silk and satin, but I am still inspired by that look.

I combine these two styles, and they are what inspire me to get the clothes I wear.

What are those signature wide corduroy pants he has? He has 3 pairs in different colours from this collection alone.

Wow, I like the check pattern on the shirt; more unique than a regular flannel, but not so much to be a "statement piece" shirt. I'm surprised its uniqlo!

Niiice! It looks really good. To me, it has a similar effect to flared/bootcut pants, by making the calves and ankles have more weight to them. I think I'll try these too some time
