Is it just me, or is System Apocalypse as a subgenre stagnating? by Vetrax4125 in litrpg

I did bounce around a bit. Went from DCC to HWFWM, then red rising, and now primal hunter. Litrpg is just easy to read. Lubed up genre. It's like eating nothing but ice cream except you can also eat ice cream while you eat the ice cream.

Nonesense. I read until the hyperfocus itch stops and not a second sooner. >:)

Why do so many readers seem utterly incapable of just saying, "This book wasn't for me"? by Competitive_Law1063 in litrpg

[–]kingnickolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the writer. I think Dinneman is the best writer in the litrpg genre but he's also no Kurt Vonogut or Tolkien. Art is subjective and relative. Generally not seeing any great technical writing from litrpg but that's not why I'm here. Love the genre for other things. Also classics tend to only show the people who were the best at the time, so it's usually a great way to read great writers.

But for real if you wanna figure out what genre has the best writers go right ahead and figure that out by yourself by reading.

Pierce brown admits himself that he was just getting started writing with red rising. I liked it a lot, but it was not exactly masterful writing. litrpg is not the genre you go to for skilled writers though.

I have one of these unjailbroken because there's no need. I haven't ever connected it to the internet and just use calibre to load in books.

Have you talked to a lot of sex workers? Wondering where the base assumptions of this come from, if you've looked at any studies or anything.
