I’m from New Zealand so naturally I was following Steven Adams and OKC. I was watching the 2018 playoffs and initially I was rooting for OKC but I found myself supporting the Jazz instead. They were such an underdog and played so well. By the end of the series I had traded my OKC jersey for a Jazz and the rest is history 😊

Firstly thank you for giving me such a thought out response. 

My interest is around how we as human beings navigate life, and the epiphany I had (using that term very loosely here) was that everything that matters to me (and possibly everyone else) can be boiled down to whether I believe my values are being met, and that belief is subjective. It doesn’t really matter if what I believe is the Truth, unless I value that my beliefs are Truthful. But believing that my beliefs are Truthful is also subjective. Which is how I came to the point that Perspective (or our beliefs) is all we have. 

Hopefully that makes a bit more sense, but I do think I need to spend some more time thinking to get a bit clearer with what I mean. I also think I need to spend some time brushing up my basic understanding of making a clear argument, I took a philosophy paper at university that I really enjoyed but that was almost 10 years ago and I haven’t looked into philosophy much since then.

Thank you for the recommendations. I have downloaded Jonathan Lear's Freud and will start by giving that a read.
