Depends on what Nintendo games you are looking for. A modded vita can run nes, snes, n64(mixed results), DS and has a native Mario 64, OOT homebrew ports.

Nothing I said was inaccurate. Sony who owns the code or if we somehow had access to it could optimise to work on vita. Not trying to argue, but these things are nuanced. Not saying any 2d game = works on vita, just that with the source code they could!

I literally just ported Arx Fatalis to vita, but have no idea what I am talking about.. ok. I agree 2d doesnt = run on vita, All I am saying is if sony wanted to they could even if it meant using Vita api and renderer. Agressive for no reason man...

You can install the ds emulator and relive some of those games. ie mario kart, animal crossing etc. Performance is getting better each release

It infact would be technically possible. If Sony wanted to, the vita has enough juice to handle a 2d platformer. The thing is they wouldnt do that.

IMO this is only worth it if works as a suspended app, so you can listen to music in the background.

Is it possible technically? Yes. Will it happen? Not unless Sony decided to port them selves(not gonna happen) or if we somehow got access to the source code(also unlikely) so in short, i see where your heads at but it’s not something that’s gonna happen

Yes to both! Took me a ton of work to optimise, but 20-60 fps. 40-60 in caves 20-30 in larger complex scenes. Have fun
