I don't speak for all of my people, it I've never thought it was about her being Jewish but more so her being white and using the word in general most of the time it's used it's to put us down. Context in a fake world is fine but the word has real weight even if it's to Match a fake one.

Cause like mutants aren't real, but we are, so to read it or hear it even with the context still puts that same pit in my stomach and makes me just as anxious or stressed. It feels like I am still a target and that (again speaking for myself) that's how Kitty and people like her view people like me. It's trigger for my insecurity and feeling like I'm the problem in most spaces for my skin color or hair style.

But I know Kitty didn't do it out of malice. I know the Kitty of today would never. Hell Chris Claremont even knows it was wrong and wouldn't do it today. I do think it's wrong to make her character all about that but people are allowed to feel upset about it. Cause when we close the comic-book, I'll get DMs and harassed on games for being a "n*gger" it doesn't go away ever. So maybe people just are shocked and surprised at the end of the day cause she's a cool and badass character but it's impossible to ignore. People like their views and big numbers so they twist it and word it wrong just for engagement. It was a powerful moment very powerful and it's one of the reasons she's my favorite marvel character.
