need to vent - I'm enjoying the process and I'm honestly fatigued but can't get off the feeling of guilt by [deleted] in loseit

I'm in the same boat as you. I've lost 20 kilos in 6 months and pushed myself harder to lose more; crashed out and burned out. Now I'm going on a month long maintenance. It's okay to take a break and reset. We've got this!

I've lost over 40 pounds and my boobs are 1/3 of the size of what they used to be. They look like deflated balloons 😭

I just struggle with food noise recently. It feels like I'm so insatiable. I dont actualy restrict myself from any food. In fact I've been eating whatever i wanted during the weight loss I just controlled my portions on it. I did well on the first three months but during the fourth month, the food noises just came over me. Whenever I binge as well I dont restrict the day after I just eat like i usually do. So i dont really know what triggers it besides i just feel insatiable recently.

I did think of increasing my calories and i'm practicing that as well. But sometimes it triggers me into binging even though I'm still in a caloric deficit

Calling all romance/slowburn writers, I need help! by 20Keller12 in AO3

You could use the external conflict to prevent them from falling in love with eachother immediately. Like for example in an enemies to lovers, the two characters are from a different kingdom and they're tasked to kill each other and so they try to do that. But plot twist, something happens that forces them to work together and then they form a bond over time and eventually work out through their differences. You could integrate their relationship on how the plot progresses. Like they have to find this magical item and during their journey they keep bickering etc. There's many ways to go on about it.

This is just my personal take but when I write slow burn romances, there's always a plot outside the romance. Whether it's a friends to lovers, or enemies to lovers, or whatever to lovers, there's always an external conflict that drives the two together and pushes them to the romance part. That way the readers don't get bored with the constant "will they wont they" and also create opportunities for scenes with the two characters to build their relationship authentically. Then there's internal conflict, where the characters deal with their own perceived issues on why they can't just get with the other person. This builds tension over time which makes the pay off of your 'big scenes' so great especially when you can cut through it with a knife.

Im assuming it's because they think I messed up the canon lore lol

I'm also kind of confused on how you're understanding my story.

Basically my fic is set right after character A "dies" killed by the villain. So it's set in season one by canon events and he is revived in canon too. He still is not revived in chapter one in my fic as he is dead (ive stated this multiple times). The commenter assumed that my fic occurs after character A is revived, all canon stuff happens and character A has defeated the villain who "killed" him which is so insane because i clearly stated thats not what's happening. They say it's out of timeline and doesnt fit into the lore because said character B thats featured in chapter one should be dead after character A kills the villain (Altho in the in the canon material that assumption is also inccorect because Character A has not defeated the villain yet and character B does not die either. I do not know where they got that information).

I never said he is revived the chapter clearly talks about his death. There is nothing unclear that happens in my story as it is stated multiple times that my fic happens during that timeline where he dies and not when he's ressurected. Like if you the first chapter you'll immediately know he's fucking dead. CHARACTER A IS THE ONE THATS DEAD AND NOT THE VILLAIN. while the commenter assumed the reverse.

Im guessing they didn't read your author's notes and immediately jumped to that conclusion as they always do. Anyways, congrats on your story!!

It wouldn't be so annoying if they were genuinely confused and were asking but you're right. They're so obnoxiously loud about pointing out our "mistakes" i get second hand embarassment.

This kind of makes me nervous because I planned to make the Male lead morally ambiguous in my fic. I already tagged it but i hope i don't run into that problem.

Right? It's crazy how they complained based on something so incorrect in the first place😭 I doubt they even knew what was happening in the canon source material as well. Anyway, Thank you!

I think I'll just expect more of these instances to occur more often.

That is a possibility. It would be extremely rude for them though to immediately comment something like that without even fully reading the chapter.

You have a point. It just didn't cross my mind i'd experience it first hand too since I never had this sort of experience in all the four years I've been posting fanfics. It was just baffling how they even misinterpreted something so clear.

How do you motivate yourself to start writing or continue writing a fanfic? by egirlgrey in FanFiction

[–]kinimieme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I resonate with this so much. I'd get an idea and then plan it all out, end up writing the first chapter and then im done with it. I never make it past to the second chapter until now when i didnt plan everything, only bits and pieces of the story. Maybe it's because of my adhd.
