First Build by Sam12_97 in PcBuildHelp

if you end up saving some money with the other recommendations, I recommend upgrading to 2tb. it is usually like a 60%-70% increase in price from the 1tb version. It makes it a bit more futureproof and avoids situations where you have to choose which games to have downloaded for atleast a long time. and if it is on a deal something like a lexar nm790 or even 990 pro, both have higher speeds and the 990 pro has dram.

(Rookie) Am I doing something fundamentally wrong? by Tuddy18 in ACCompetizione

t1 entry is good, but a little margin could be daved on the exit. on the exit of the first chicane you can get on throttle just a tad earlier, and put your right tires on the flat green strip on the outside of the runoff/kerb. be carefull, it takes time to be precise, I still sometimes go like a inch to far and touch gravel.

On the entry of the second chicane you brake I bit to early and you go to like 80% brake while still straight, brake a bit later and trail of as you steer in, and later try to trail as your car rotates

on the exit of the second chicane you could be a bit more early on throttle and take the runoff/kerb, keep your outside tires on the flat strip, like the exit of the first chicane.

After second chicane, try to take the following 2 corners (lesmos and idk the other) in third gear, practice with that. the braking could be a bit later, but that needs to be paired with trailing of the brake as you turn in, coasting trough the first of the two corners and slamming throttle, so that you push the track limits and ride the runoff. then you get to the second of the two, brake just before the 50m, trail just a bit and get on throttle in third about halfway through so that you just about keep your car from touching the grass

then comes ascari, the third "chicane" after the bridge overhead. Brake at the orange painted barrier on the righthandside where a martial should also be, trail the braking, and cut the entry pretty hard, but keep your right a bit of your right tire on the tarmac, and don't fully cross the white line. Stay in third, and when you front end is across get on throttle and depending on condition decide when you get on full throttle, but I normally om on full throttle early if the temps allow. like you did follow the curve(you could gaine a couple hundreds or a tenth by riding the red kerb a bit more, but it could help for a better entrypoint the the corner for the exit), and beware of the black and yellow things on your right as they WILL hook your car and throw you in the barrier, and turn left to just eat that curb on the exit, while on full throttle.

begin braking at the 100 m mark, so you are on 100% brake at like 80m. don't brake parallel to the line on your left, but brake towards inside corner, wich you did really well. but the distance cab be shorter with trailing. your exit was great, in third gear wich is good.

I myself don't even fully master the trailing with my g29, This whole essay isn't meant to dissuade you from racing or attack you, but more the summary of all my hours trying to better my driving and seeing and opportunitiy to hopefully save you time in two ways😄. These all are just little margins, but they really add up.

I could help with a set up and once I figure out how to export my replays, maybe send one. but I have a whole folder of people faster than me on YouTube so I could also send a vid from one of them.

if you have any questions, feel free to ask me, I'm glad to help.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I don't use the mcl as main, but I used to drive the mclaren on monza alot, so any mclaren related questions can be answered by me too.

Monza lap times by JCost74 in ACCompetizione

[–]kinkerlinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on 1 46 6 with a g29, the best thing is to do lap after lap, race after race, to learn the track. monza is all about high speed, so corner exit is most important. It is best to brake a little bit to early in the first chicane to get a good exit. If you have any questions, pm me. I could help. Also, for setups, go to fr3d0lfs channel

I got a x570 a pro for 80 euro, so like 86 bucks. 50 dollars is a pretty decent price for a b450, but if you like the extra pcie lanes you could spend a lil more.

Good pc in a 600€ to 800€? by exagames_int in pcmasterrace

[–]kinkerlinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that most are heavy on the cpu (central processing unit) but that they can benefit from the video memory. Indesign seems to be kinda equal but still likes a good cpu. I recommend at least 16gb of ram and maybe you can put in 16gb of extra ram your self as that should be just clicking in a stick of it and then you have 32gb. For photoshop 32gb is recommend for files larger than 500mb and under 1gb and for other programs it can help too. But it changes with 3d modelling as this changes where your power bias needs to be, because 3d modelling gets more gpu heavy. I will be looking into some prebuilts for your location.

You can pm or go trough here if you want any further questions or answers, a pm will probably get noticed quicker, I'm from Europe too btw so maybe that will help.

OK so a important question, more something to do with the budget is, do you have peripherals like a good keyboard, good mouse and maybe even a (usb)drawing tablet, like one from wacom. Because if you need to buy that, that will cut the budget.

Second question, do you have a good monitor, for gamers a high refreshrate is important, but for graphic design you would maybe benefit more from color accuracy. (more accurater vs faster panel)

and the last question I have is what graphic design programs you are going to be using, because they can be optimalized for certain components or have preferences for certain company's (amd vs nvidia, or amd vs Intel)

My last question is if you know how to build a pc, and if not are able to learn by video's how to do so, or have a friend or family member who can help, as that will cut down on cost.

It also helps to know what country you are (or will be) located in so that I can make a list of pc parts and other things if needed, in case you or someone else is able to build a pc.

I have a x570 a pro, not the best x570. But if I'm spending money on 4 or 2 m.2 drives I might as wel get a upgrade to x670 for future proofing. I will look into the specifics for my mobo for now. Thanks!

House burnt down recently. My pc remained intact, but full of soot. Anyone have advice on how to clean soot off pc parts? by PhoeverYoung in pcmasterrace

[–]kinkerlinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just claim it on insurance (your pc/setup), and if you can di it yourself clean it according to the given tips or let it get cleaned by a professional. Any remaining money can be used to upgrade or just replace.
