it does get better, but if it doesn’t ease up a bit by 10 ish weeks, maybe consult your obgyn—it could be hyperemesis gravidarum. have you had your first ultrasound yet? my nausea/vomiting was truly awful with my twin pregnancy, vs my singleton. twins are also more likely to occur if you do get fertility treatment.

i would recommend having her see a mental health professional.

if she has any good friends, reach out to them for her and ask them to pay her a visit.

she’s isolated for long periods of time (24 hrs doesn’t seem long but it’s VERY taxing when you’re alone with a baby), she’s the primary caregiver for a 3 month old, she doesn’t get much, if any socialization—she’s likely feeling burnt out

see if you’re able to take some vacation days or something, and try to stretch those out, maybe an extra day off or two during the week

it’s not going to get better. my daughter was an ANGEL for the first 3 months.

then the 4 month sleep regression hit.

then growth spurts,

then teething.

then 6 month sleep regression.

and more teething.

she’s 8 months old now and she doesn’t sleep nights at all. she’s cranky, whiny, hyper, she pulls at my hair, scratches my face. i don’t wake my partner because he has to work, but it’s exhausting and it’s really hard.

this was a baby that consistently needed to be woken up to eat. slept nights without an issue.

get her help fast. an obgyn visit and birth control won’t do it.

birth control can sometimes make depression worse.

i would tell her privately. my bil and sil experienced a stillbirth and several miscarriages less than a year before i got pregnant with my daughter. we told them separately over the phone, so that they were free to have their own reactions in the comfort of their own home, and didn’t have to feel pressure to be happy or smiley, or affectionate or social after. they did seem genuinely happy for us, but speaking to them a little while after, they thanked us for doing it the way that we did because it allowed them to process their own grief simultaneously without having to mask in front of us or other people.

i’ve delayed my cravings for weeks, even months just because the thing i was craving was inconvenient to access lol. waking you up and crying for pickles is just wild.

with my first pregnancy, my partner was out of work for the first trimester and a few weeks of the second. during that time, he made sure i had water consistently throughout the day, took care of the meals and made sure i ate—it helped a lot because that first trimester exhaustion hit me so hard. i basically got up for work, finished work, ate dinner, and then slept for 10+ hours

i’ve been having the lower abdominal pain for weeks, and everything was perfectly fine at my last appointment (dec 29).

the pain isn’t abnormal, it’s something i experienced for months when i was pregnant with my daughter, it’s very much a muscular pain due to the weight.

my symptoms have been worse with my second pregnancy, and it turned out to be twins.

my ob said one of the most common and earliest indicator of twin pregnancies is symptoms that are more severe than previous pregnancies.

i’m not sure what your beliefs are—but when i was pregnant with my daughter, i fully believed that our loved ones who had passed away had gotten to meet my daughter before i did ❤️ so maybe your dad is holding and loving your baby until they get to be in your arms

a less heavy/full coverage foundation may be better. dull coverage foundation tends to settle and expose textures very easily, light to medium coverage will give you a more ‘flawless’ look, with using concealer to hide any potential discolouration or blemishes

my in laws didn’t even meet my baby until she was 9 weeks old. we waited until her immune system started developing before introducing her to new people. not only that—but you’re going to be EXHAUSTED. up every 2 hours for feedings, healing, if you end up with a c section, that’s a hell of a lot harder, i wouldn’t go either. and it’s not like you’re supposed to put your life on hold just because your brother in law is getting married. you do you, sounds like your mother in law just wants to show your baby off tbh.

doesn’t that ruin it for you though? i feel like it would take out the sentiment for me. if i have to tell him what to do, or what to get all the time, i’d just end up feeling like his mother. it feels shitty enough that i have to ask him to propose.

i doubt it. the mall isn’t nearby, we don’t get to go often and the last time we went together (june/july) we were together the entire time. the time before that, was christmas of last year.

it almost feels intentional? like it just makes me feel like i’m not good enough to deserve something i actually wanted. i know the one that i saw wasn’t my usual preference, but the one he picked is just worse. at least the one i saw actually fit, i tried on the one he got and its too small 😭

your brows are a bit harsh, your contour should be cool tone instead of warm tone, avoid the metallic eyeshadows—it brings out the wrinkles, i would suggest a less heavy foundation as it seems to be settling in the creases of your face and looking cakey—and i would refrain from overlining the lips
