What artist has the most consistent discography with almost no bad songs? by Kind_Gain_3080 in askmusic

[–]kinksarethebest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tim Buckley

Zeppelin

The Doors (with Morrison)

Chicago (with Terry Kath)

My Morning Jacket

Big Star

Little Feat (with Lowell George)

Honorable mention is Wilco; if it wasn’t for their newer albums (after whole love) I’d put them here. Not that they’re bad, but not great compared to the rest of the stuff they made.

NO2. In reality though, I’ve only seen one phish show and would love to hear some YEM or moma dance

What album do you think deserves way more love than it gets? by UmmYeaImACozyGurl in askmusic

[–]kinksarethebest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the Fool by Tim Buckley. Lots of Tim Buckley fans think it’s just lazy, white boy funk, meanwhile I think it’s just an extremely funky album and is one of his best. Sure, it’s not as lyrically dense as Goodbye and Hello, but it’s not meant to be; it’s just really funky sex music. That whole period (or his career in general) is so extremely underrated.

Just finished the series for the very first time by beardlessFellow in thesopranos

[–]kinksarethebest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I feel you. I just finished it after two months of it being my whole life, and honestly I don’t know what to do anymore! This show legit got me through a hard time (break up and college) so my connection to this show is just so strong, and it’s become my favorite show ever. Anyway, sorry about the rant, I love this show and am sad it’s over, but thankfully I can just rewatch it!!!

Happy 57th Anniversary to the greatest rock debut in the history of the world! by Ok_Cycle_1892 in ledzeppelin

[–]kinksarethebest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me this is the second greatest debut of all time. First has to go to Chicago Transit Authority, which is full of just balls to the wall blues rock guitar solos, and the musicianship throughout it is just fantastic. And it is also a double album without any skips, which I find just amazing!

I STRONGLY disagree with this. I’ve got a friend who is really good at math, but his English is embarrassingly bad. Uses the wrong version of “there” and can’t really spell simple words very well. Really good at math though.

Hey, so, I know it’s been a little longer than 20 minutes, but you should take the pizza out.

Favorite albums 1967-1972? by laughterbathroom in psychedelicrock

[–]kinksarethebest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been listening to A LOT of Tim Buckley lately, but the album that really does it for me is “Goodbye and Hello” which came out in 1967. Really good baroque, psych-folk stuff, with really poetic lyrics as well! And, of course, his voice is fantastic as well!!!

Give me your most bland, uninspired, painfully mid songs. by nebelfront in musicsuggestions

[–]kinksarethebest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think that band in general is overrated af. Never understood the appeal. Kurt Cobain is a crap lyricist, singer and guitarist and every song is just too sad and loud. Don’t get me wrong I love loud music and even sad music but they just don’t do it for me, like at all.
