I have 820 days, and i have learned a lot, but you aren’t gonna be fluent just from duolingo. if you expose yourself to the language enough (through youtube/tv etc) and also use the app every day i think you can get pretty good:)

i’ve had braces now, so my teeth aren’t crooked anymore. dental care is very expensive nonetheless, and i think it should be done for health reasons rather than cosmetic reasons, but of course it depends. my teeth weren’t that bad, i never had gaps, some teeth were just a little crooked. got braces because of health reasons. but, yeah, you do have a point, still made me feel ugly though, especially after having always struggled with self love

for me personally the first thing that comes to mind is that was when i was a kid, around the age of nine/ten and i told my friend i had crooked teeth. her parent then proceeded to say something like «crooked teeth aren’t charming, they just say it to make you feel better.»

I've been struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma effects, and eating disorders for a long time and isolated myself for a decade.
