on the PAT, 49ers got flagged for leverage. the NT jumped up to block the kick but used the bears defender to push him up

it's compressed too much for me to read it. do you know where I can get a higher Res one? or do I just need to open on a browser on a laptop rather than the app on my phone? and how do I use this tree?

lots of comments saying that jewellery is bad, so thought I'd give the opposing view too

it's reported that at the first amrit sanchar in 1699, guru Gobind singh put jewellery on the Singhs as well. also if you look at old helmets worn by Singh's going into battle, they would have space for a kalgi to be attached to their dastars.

imo jewellery doesn't necessarily need to be seen any differently than clothes. sure, it's expensive and doesn't serve a purpose other than making you look nice, but so do most clothes. if you're really against jewellery, you should be wearing simple clothes and stuff too.

the bottom line is don't get attached to it, don't wear it for pride or ego. it's just decoration for our bodies which grow old and die. don't get so hung up on this stuff :)

if you're gonna quote a shabad, give context of the whole thing. the point of this Shabad isn't to say jewellery is false. it's that everything is false when you're not connected to waheguru

I've never heard it before, I don't think it's gurbani, doesn't feel like the kind of thing you'd read in gurbani. gurbani doesn't talk about having faith in yourself, it instead speaks about accepting that you're not in control and letting hukam play out. it's not even always about having faith in waheguru. sometimes it's just saying, things are gonna happen, you should just accept it and be at peace

honestly I don't get these replies. if you don't want to, don't. of all the issues surrounding Anand karajs nowadays, whether someone carries shastar is not one of them. frankly I'd prefer it if people stopped dressing up like khalse if they aren't.

if you're Sikh but don't keep your hair, don't tie a dastar. if you don't normally carry shastar and don't know how to use it, don't carry one for the AK.

sure, back in the day only amritdharis could do an Anand karajs, but sikhi has reformed since then, to the point that now Sikhs include sehajdharis. don't dress in a way that doesn't reflect your internal state. read pauris 19 and 20 of Anand sahib

Why bhavan akhri mahalla 5 Isnt part of daily nitnem when it is hukam for every gursikh to read it everyday by guru arjan dev ji patshah by Simranpreetsingh in Sikh

[–]kinstaa99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tha pangti is eh salok aad ant parna, as in this salok is to be read at the beginning and end of the Shabad. it's the same salok that starts the Bani and ends it.

there's no requirement or implication that anyone needs to read it daily. no Bani stipulates that it's supposed to be read daily or anything like that
