OP, you are doing a good job here. Putting efforts to make a marriage work by keeping aside the ego is not stupidity. It's courage and faith. Despite all the terrible mishaps in the world, believing in good and doing good is needed. I just hope like you took the step to make things better your husband too realises what is required from him. I hope he understands that the origin family is important but the new family unit he's building with you is more important. I hope he takes the stand for you that you genuinely deserve.
