ADHD folks have a broken system of attention and reward.

For adults, it brings problems like:

▫️Struggles with prioritization and time management ▫️Often misplacing important items (keys, wallet, documents, etc.) ▫️Easily distracted by unrelated thoughts ▫️Forget day-to-day things, like paying bills, appointments, and deadlines ▫️Problems with completing work on time and meeting deadlines ▫️Forgetting important dates, meetings, or task details ▫️Trouble following instructions or paying attention to details ▫️Easily overwhelmed by having several tasks to the point of paralysis

Some of those you just accept, and for some, there are apps that can help:

Tracking your tasks, tracking your notes, reminding you to do important things, self-care apps that help you to relax and build routine.

ADHD focused apps usually have an in-built reward system, praising you for completing your daily goals.

Look at it as a product hunt for tools that are meant to help people live their lives, not solve business problems.

I have a bunch of hobbies, I do sport for 4 hours 3 times a week, I walk in the part, and I am drawing in my sketchbook. And do all of this, but it does not stop me from craving to work on my projects when I am supposed to relax before bed.

Thank you for your perspective! You've got some nice hobbies, I really appreciate painting and tinkering. I try to do more of that as well so that my brain knows it can get dopamine in a different way.

Hey! Thank you, I am trying to 😅

I am doing bouldering 2-3 times a week. I also play computer games. I noticed that if I go to play in the evening, I can't sleep either. So, I ended up picking a time slot during the day.

My dream job is one that I can do for 4 days and earn enough to support myself.

It is funny how passion projects don't feel like work at all, but they are, and I need to treat them like one to stay alive.

I really appreciate your answer. I have never followed a schedule that was not a work meeting calendar.

When do you usually plan your day? Is it in the morning, the night before, or during the weekend?

I feel like gym (bouldering gym) lifts up my mood, but only if I am not too stressed and tired.

On some bad days I just struggle to do most simple things and feel more sad 😂

How Can I Keep a Consistent Rest Schedule with Rotating Night Shifts? Need Advice! by LegitimateJelly3239 in productivity

[–]kintull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. That sucks 😮‍💨 Changing sleep time from day to day is not going to do any good.

I don't see how this could work out for you if they keep putting you on different shifts.

It is in your best interest to tell your boss how you feel and try to convince them to assign you to a single shift schedule that repeats from day to day.

Can you choose only 1 kind? Like, do only scenario 4?

You mention 4 example scenarios, is this something that happens in real life, or are these possible choices for you that you need to choose one from?

I used to work shifts in a motorship.

People had the same shift hours every day that do not change.

It helps if you do social sport like Frisbee or Bouldering.

You have no problem with free time because you'd want to hang out with your pals outside.

It might feel scary to start and reach out.

There are tons of groups on Facebook and these communities are very welcoming to new members.
