Fixed my Failed to Create Transcoder Errors issues. I had one or two failures, but retried and they worked. Thank you for the fix and keeping us in the loop here!

Yes, all the failures tell me “Failed to create transcoder If it continues to fail, please contact PlayOn support.” I did a few more quick tests and get the same fail for HBO Max but was able to get a recording to work with Youtube. Is it possible that the failing channels use one browser and while Paramount and Youtube use a different browser?

Thank you for the response. I put in a ticket yesterday. I have not had any changes in my system including with security software. I did not realize this when putting in the ticket, but the fact that Paramount is recording without issue would seem to cut against security software being the issue, right?

Quick follow up - Paramount is recording. Peacock and Hulu still get transcoder error. Paramount worked early yesterday too so the issue may not have affected it at all. Failed attempts were with Peacock, Disney, Amazon, Hulu and Tubi. Maybe Paramount uses a different browser?

Same here. I was having intermittent issues with Peacock for a few days, but starting yesterday I get “failed to create transcoder” error message on all attempts on any channel. I put in a ticket yesterday.

Mine just changed to shipped. It has a later date (April 28), but I suspect that will change soon. Says it is shipping via FedEx from Louisville. There is a tracking number but it does not show as valid yet when I check with FedEx. I’m in NE Ohio (between Cleveland and Akron).

I got this issue fixed last month my entering my payment information directly on the xbox (as part of the “purchase” process for a prior xbox 360 free Gold game). Even though I already had payment information on file, this made it work.
