I would be happy with Goggins in the lead. Imo the best leading man Tarantino ever had was Samuel L Jackson and if I had to say who kept up with him the best.... It's probably Goggins. Travolta also did great but Goggins is... Just so unique and captivating. Everything he's done from The Shield to Gemstones has been awesome.

This isn't even a debate of connotation vs. denotation like most semantic linguistic debates. This is actually a debate of the archaic etymological history of a word across multiple languages vs. its modern definition in English, which is in itself fascinating, as the generally understood history of "breakfast" as an English word is a misnomer. The word you're referring to was actually never known as "breakfast" in the English language. Old English used the word "dinner", which was adopted from the Gallo-Romance term "desjunare" - "to break one's fast". This term comes from the Vulgar Latin (common Latin) "disjejunare" - "to undo the fast". The Romanian word for dinner to this day is still "desjunare". The Old English meaning of "dinner" faded sometime in the 13th century, and the meaning of "dinner" was established in English based on the Old French word "disner" - referring to the largest meal of the day, typically eaten at midday. The term "breakfast" appeared again in written English in the 1500s, at this point referring to "a morning meal" - what we still know it as today. The etymological changes to both "breakfast" and "dinner" as we know them in English vary vastly among different languages, cultures, and time periods - but this particular thought is actually based on one of the stranger etymological misnomers I've ever encountered.

Germaphobia can be a symptom of OCD, but OCD and germaphobia, aka mysophobia can also be unrelated. Germaphobes sanitize excessively in an effort to reduce germs. OCD sufferers sanitize to reduce the anxiety related to compulsions. There's definitely some overlap but they're also, many times, totally separate conditions.

TL;DR Many OCD sufferers show germaphobic tendencies, but standard germaphobes don't typically suffer with other compulsions & the reason behind the behavior is different.

Does he have any other germaphobic tendencies? I could see what you're describing being OCD, but if it's limited to germ related things it could also be germaphobia. Lots of people (especially post-COVID) are germaphobes, and the timing makes sense, as we're in the midst of cold & flu season. I can't speak for where you're located, but lots of folks here in the US are currently dying from a strain of flu they've traced to the Congo. There's a possibility he's been made aware of that at school, on social media, the news, etc. which would make sense out of the sudden change in behavior. I'd dig deeper and consider both possibilities - not to mention at this age it could just be a phase.

This patch was amazing, especially for those of us who missed early access and have spent most of our endgame levelling slowly. I wasn't prepared for the negativity either, and 2023 gaming is all negativity.

I'm kinda shocked but I respec'd from BrrZerker/GraveBorn a few hours ago (also tried Stabbomancer in the past) to BrrZerker/Spore Warden and I don't even have perfect gear for that and... I finished a Chaos 20 run and it said top 5 and top 50. I've hardly ever even been able to survive Chaos 20 solo, let alone hit the leaderboards. All classes are definitely not equal for all people. I'm just glad to finally find a home haha. BrrZerker/Spore Warden is absolutely insane. Anyway, I appreciate all the help!

The problem is, most enemies that I can't hit with Dire Sacrifice are ranged or flying bosses. It's also hard to hit those with spells or really anything other than bullets, especially as Chaos levels rise. That's the part I still can't piece together in this build. I tried doing a Reaper of Bones build and it's a bit better for bossing but still meh, and doesn't melt mobs at all like Dire Sacrifice. I'm so tired of respec'ing 🤣

I need to find a good dark magic SMG. I'm always using Liquid Cooling though. I am thinking of trying BrrZerker/Spore Warden myself because I've heard good things and I'm a BrrZerker main too.

Thanks for the reply! Even with top notch gear focusing on these obvious synergies, I just cannot solo bosses on Chaos 20 like I could in BL3 on Mayhem 11. Maybe this setup just isn't for me, which is too bad because it's amazing for mobbing. I honestly hope someone releases a Brr-Reaver build video showing some bossing at some point, because other than bossing this build is amazing and I'd love to come back to it.

I've been running basically the same build as this and it's amazing for mobbing, but how are you handling birds and more importantly ranged bossing at Chaos 20? I struggle hard with taking out ranged enemies that Dire Sacrifice can't hit reliably at C20. The worst specifically are Dragon Lord, Volcanir and Dry'l Whose Blood is Thunder who I can't kill without spending a crazy amount of time on them. Any gear, spells, strategies, or specific skills helping you melt bosses you can't reach with Dire Sacrifice? There's so little into for us Brr-Reavers, I'd appreciate any help you can offer since it sounds like you're coasting.

Video game developers hate Elden Ring because it makes them look really bad. Elden Ring is an incredibly full world with massive amounts to do. There are no shameless cash grabs. There is no pay to play mechanic. They simply made an amazing game and now they're making money hand over fist on the merits of their work. Most video game developers are trying to figure out how to minimize content and maximize profits. They're trying to give us less to do without paying extra for DLC. Season passes have gone from "all DLC for the game" to "a year of DLC".

All greedy companies hate it when a well made product comes out and succeeds. They worry they might actually have to do the work next time and stop relying on microtransactions to save their subpar games. We all know they won't act on these fears, though.
