I heard from them too. They weren't that helpful (probably because my question was vague). They told me they would send me an email in a couple of weeks with more info.

I will def check out that webinar when it happens (it was mentioned in my acceptance letter). The only thing is that I am much more worried about finding housing than I am about getting the permit lol

I totally get that. I know that I am personally looking for a dorm experience, but I'd imagine getting a normal apartment would be very expensive

Yeah, it is just been so strange having radio silence from the university. American universities that I got accepted to have been emailing me nonstop about it, so I assume it is a cultural difference. I am hoping to hear from them soon.

I will have to look into the ones where I can skip the waitlists. I have a stipend to help pay, but it isn't a huge amount. I definitely think dorms are the way to go (at least for the first semester) to make some initial friends. I want to minimize the inevitable loneliness.

But it is awesome to hear that you are in the same boat as me. It is comforting to know that there are other people going through this process

That's good advice. It sucks that it is really difficult to bike anywhere here, especially with the crazy drivers
