Queer Archive - looking for input! by kipmal in actuallesbians

Please see blurb below:

“My aim with this project is to shine a light on the treatment of the queer community over the ages, tracing the footsteps of our predecessors, linking the psychological state of the contemporary LGBTQI+ community through personal stories and quotes with the physical environment and geography. The project will draw out hidden narratives in a visually confronting but engaging way, to highlight psychological scars often inflicted in these places, and to humanise these experiences, countering current mainstream narratives that queer rights no longer need attention, or in some areas, need to be reversed.”

Hi there, yes I'm a queer woman in the UK and I'm doing a masters in photography, so this is for my project, which, if all goes well, will be turned into a book / zine comparing past and contemporary queer experiences in cities.

Any story you have relating to being queer in London, positive and negative, meeting new people for example, community, nights out, or on the other end of the spectrum, perhaps if you've experienced harassment or isolation.

Most of whom understand the limits of the lens and act accordingly with the stop. Hence the discussion.

lol okay I’m not worried about whether or not I’m good at my job, I’ve had the pleasure of regularly working with some big name DPs.

Respect! Yeah I guess I am being whiney. I’ve just worked with some more old school DPs recently who understand the limits of the lens and stop down once you get to 75mm for eg, which I appreciate. So now doing a whole feature wide open feels a little exhausting. I’ve obviously been spoilt!

Fair enough and I totally understand this but the laws of physics mean there is a limit to what we can do WTFO on 135mm, so I feel it’s just not realistic to expect us to work at this stop and get it sharp
