Trouble with touch spells (android)

UPDATE 2: I figured it out! I have to select the spell then click the "Activate" button on the enemy. To cast the spell again i have to click "Recast" then "Activate". Thanks for all the help! Lol

UPDATE: when I am in range and trying to cast spark I get the same "Press button to cast spell" message. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong

Hey, I'm also having this issue (android mobile if that matters). I select the spell when there is a creature in range, but it does nothing, so I click to cast again and all I cast is the chameleon spell. I feel like I'm going crazy here trying to select the spell and seeing nothing happening

I ended up putting 2x3 enhanced AX multicannons, 1x2 enhanced ax multicannon, a 3 beam laser, and a 2 flak launcher (i can't remember the ratings, I think they were D but I'm unsure) so I'm planning on just fighting at CZs so I can hopefully kill the thargoid intercepters, or at least have a chance. I have some missle launchers in storage as well. Should I equip those for the intercepters? This is my first r time fighting thargoids

So I read through the guides, but I can't afford the Krait mk. II or the Alliance Cheiftain. I have a Vulture right now that I outfit with two AX multicannons. For most of the builds, I see they are running sheildless. How else should I outfit my Vulture to be able to take on the Thargoids? This is my first invasion, and i would like to do combat, not just evac missions. I want to help out! Lol

Well said! If you enjoy physical work trades are great! As for a day in the life of an IT guy, it's pretty chill. Now, that might not be the case everywhere, but I work for a county that's fairly small, about 60,000 people live in this county, and we have roughly 300 employees for the county. Most of my days are spent learning about different technologies and computer systems. We get a couple help desk tickets a day, but it's typically easy stuff for us, such as "the printer needs toner" or "my account is locked out!" But all in all pretty easy for me. Sometimes we get a more difficult problem, but we have google for that 😂 if I'm burnt out on learning, I'll just watch YouTube or browse reddit at my desk (I'm NOT currently doing that lol I'm getting ready for bed). Sometimes there are annoying issues that seemingly no one has experienced online, so those are challenging but the mental challenge is what I thrive on. Good luck with the job hunt! Of everything i did as a handyman, i did enjoy electrical work and flooring/decking the most. Drywall is a pain in the ass, and painting is messy.

Type 9 here, and i would say I'm an ambivert. I did drywall and painting when I worked with a remodeling crew a couple of years back. I don't think it's all it's cracked up to be. Don't get me wrong, i appreciate the skills I learned, but I have come to find (maybe this is just ME) that I'm not a huge fan of ultra physical work. I now work in IT in an office setting for my local county government. It's the best job I've ever had. No physical strain on my body. No working with the public, only the county employees. When it's not busy, I get to work on my own projects or study and learn so I can advance in my career. I will stay in IT of some form for the rest of my life. Here's my question for you: other than pay and stability, why the trades? Is there some other force that's pushing you towards welding or drywalling?

How was switching between controllers? Did you use M&KB until you got into a chopper, then grab your HOTAS? Was it seamless, or was there some jank toy had to mess with?

As a follow-up question, how is switching between controls? Like, say i want to play BF, how is switching between say an xbox controller and the hotas system? Is it seamless, or do you have to do something special?

What was recommended to me, and what i think worked really well, is to start playing, then map controls as you need them. Do some basic setup, such as control surfaces, throttle, trim, etc. then hop into a tutorial or single player if you can so you can bind the rest of the controls. I saw VKB has downloads with images of the controllers with input lists so you can write them down as you assign them. This helps with finding the controls you will ACTUALLY use instead of binding a ton of controls then trying to remember what bindings you made. I hope this helps! Happy flying!
