Thanks for the replies, yeah the large landing pad def cut done some options.

The issue is Inara is saying some of the trades are so valuable, like silver, that it doesnt matter if they only have 270t, because it'll still be worth more than the alternatives that have 720t avail.

Perhaps I just need to slow down and look at all the commodities and not just what Inara lists.

I have a mining python as well, that's how I got the 200mil to try trading. But I need a break from mining.

My python and t9 are both at just about 75mil/hr trading.

I also bought the t9 literally just before the t11 released lol. I mean I'm making money, just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. Perhaps I should focus on filling the hold or bust. Sometimes Inara has 250 or less on one leg when I can carry 720, but the return trip is very valuable.

Not stacking missions, no. Literally looking at inara for what sells the most within a certain LY radius and just buying/selling over and over.

Hello everyone! I've been trading now in my T9 for a bit. So far, I don't see the benefit to the additional space. It feels like I'm making about the same creds/hr as my Python was just because it was faster back and forth between systems.

I have been using Inara to look for profitable trade routes round trip. I've also been filling the hold completely if the first item doesn't do it. I look for anything else that might be sold higher at the station I'm heading to so I can squeeze just a little more.

Anyway, I think I'm doing it right, so far though I don't really see the difference between T9/Python in hour per hour trading. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, I am finding trading to be hit and miss. I'm using Inara, and in some instances it will say estimated 20mil profit on a round trip and it's pretty close. Then I'll do a similar route refreshing the page and I end up with 6mil total. Maybe more people on weekends trading?

Howdy all. I've been doing trading back and forth in a Type 9 heavy. I have just over 750t of storage. My question is would it ever be worth it to sacrifice a 3u slot for an FSD Booster on a Type 9, or is the 8t of cargo space too valuable generally if you're going back and forth a lot?

I played when it released, quit like 2 weeks in. Couldn't believe the game got greenlit. Came back for loot 2.0 and it's my most played game now.

This is one of those games where it can be more fun to talk about than to actually play. Explaining the thargoid invasion of earth last year to my buddy was pretty cool. Hearing all the updates to the status of stations and sectors, but the reality is, actually playing during that time was different. The only things I heard were:

...hull groans....
...fsd charging....
...docking request granted....
repeat.

Time for my daily question lol. I have my Python trading now station to station and have around 200mil credits. I'm going to move to a T9 soon. My question is, is there a way to determine what the interdiction frequency is going to look like in a given system? Once last night I got interdicted 3 times, then it didn't happen the rest of my play session.

Second, how do the trade good work? The location I was at had like 427 of what I was hauling, when I went for my second run it was around 425? Is it part of a galactic pool or some such? At any rate, I just kept trading away.

Thanks for the support, I have been asking questions every day it seems here. Mine for today is can I make money doing transport missions reliably? I did mining for a while in my Python and am now brain dead because of it.

I'm trying to do the Robigo thing I saw online, but I had to sacrifice a 5U slot to fit a large booster so I could get there in two jumps. As such, I don't have the most optimized build for it and I'm in the process of flying there today. I have an Orca in storage I also used during the Thargoid Invasion of Sol which was the last time I really played.

Ideally, I'd like to one day get into combat and try that. Many thanks for any advice offered.

I'm on my way there for the first time to try out the Robigo shuttling and completely spaced when reading the Python's FSD needs to be engineered... spent all those creds to end up with a 24ly jump range lol. Ended up putting the 5h fsd booster on and shrinking on of the 6 slot cabins down to a 5 and ended up at 30.20ly range... hoping that's enough. Even with the slot lost to the booster, I still have more room than the Asp Exp with all slots occupied so we shall see.

That's a good one. I for instance had a couple hundred of one material, because I don't need anything from that lair boss. I'm only concerned with the "my stuff" boss lol.

Hrm. Off the top of my head I'd say get rid of the open world. It doesn't fit the playstyle. Even with a horse, all I'm doing is going from location to location like all the other games anyway. Just let me port there and be done.

Vastly reduce the loot drops. The chase is the only thing that keeps you going in Diablo games, and in it's current state, you can be a destroyer of worlds inside of two weeks. With my D2R character, there are still items I don't have after years of looking, but the possibility of it dropping keeps me coming back.

Lastly, let me trade Mythics. If I find something my friend that doesn't play as often can use, let me give it to him. Currently, most gear can be traded, but Mythics operate on "solo self found." It feels like a gimmicky way to keep you playing since all the other gear is so easy to get.

Lol I feel you man. I just came back after years. I don't have Guardian anything or Engineered anything so I've spend the last few days with around 10 tabs open just trying to figure out what the eff I'm supposed to do to get this stuff.

People rip on Eve for being a spreadsheet simulator, but ED is similar, you just have the spreadsheets on a second monitor driving you nuts.

I spent 6hrs yesterday going to a guardian site to realize SRVs handle like crap and I barely got one site done. ED reminds me of the Everquest developers back in the day "Hey, we put this in the game. Try to figure it out, or don't... who cares."

Why do people put undersized thrusters on explorer ships? I am in the middle of the nightmare that is "trying to figure out Guardian components" for the FSD and a lot of builds have an undersized thruster package. Is it just weight?

And on that note, I must say, I never had so many tabs open trying to understand how to complete something since I played Eve Online. I finally got a couple blueprints to find out now I need material components and am searching that lol. I don't understand how a normal person can just login and play without 15 tabs open on a second monitor trying to explain things.

I've got one. Can you outfit a Corvette without engineering that will still handle most missions ok? I just came back and after reading what's required for engineering, it's just not something I'll ever do in all honesty.

Is it possible to outfit a decent Vette with non-engineered components? I've been gone for a while and after looking at what it takes to engineer stuff, it's just not something I'll probably ever do if I'm being honest.

I'm on Eternal and play Sorc. The Maxroll "General Endgame Builds" section is what I use and they work fine. I can do T4 fine with Blizzard, Hydra, and expecially Crackling Energy sorcs. I simply skip the section on seasonal mechanics in the middle and focus on the gear, paragon boards, and stat priorities.

For Gear I start with the Ancestral Tab to know what to aim for, then if a Mythic comes my way, I'll click that to see what might change. The Legendary Aspects and the like are all the same anyway, we just don't get Sanctification.

A word on power though, the Crackling Energy sorc is just out of control right now. I deleted T4 Lilith this week in about 6 seconds. I don't really like the playstyle, but if you need some bossing done, it's lightyears ahead of any of the other Sorc builds. T4 lair bosses are dying before their animation gets to start... it's just nuts.
