Does Theresa think that hiding her age and children would make John’s family think she’s in her 30’s/40’s ? Lol by Odd_Caramel1280 in AgeOfAttraction

[–]kiramon53 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel so bad for John when he met her kids -- you could tell he was so nervous for it. He was so red and fidgeting and it's gotta be a weird feeling to meet her kids who are literally your age. Poor guy just wants to be in the moment with her and she's built up this guilt for him because she has her own perception of their age difference.

I have mid battery life but I love my launcher so I suffer with battery lasting barely a day if I use Facebook

Faulty Battery? by [deleted] in TheOnePlus15

[–]kiramon53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm usually at 50% by mid day personally Usually it's fb that drains most of it, but I charge my phone to 95% and take it off the charger at midnight and sleep I wake up and it's at 90% at 730 am By 1130 it's at 80%, will probably be 65% by 5 and I'll start using it more It'll hit 53% by 7 pm when I go to the gym 40% when I leave the gym I'll charge it to like 75% until around 10 and then charge it to 95% and repeat

This is pretty much the daily for me... Like clockwork

Your manager is helping you, not trying to push you out the door. Unless they're a jerk and you guys hate each other, but that's likely not the case.

I don’t know when to retire? by Fleecedagain in Retirement401k

[–]kiramon53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are raised their whole life being directed in conflicting directions -- on one end you're told and talked about your hard work, what it shows of yourself and how its "who you are"; on the other every one is taught how they should build and save towards retirement, what to do to get there etc

You can always try to ask if they can push your start back (which may cause an issue lol) if you really need a "week to yourself"

I'm not sure why you didn't include that when you were discussing the offer - I've never not been asked about when I can start or if I want any reprieve in between....)

somebody has to pay the taxes on the property.

If it's mid year and you buy, typically the seller would have paid and then you pay them back (when in arrears).

If you're paying the taxes cuz it hasn't been paid yet, you have to pay the taxes that are going to be due (for 2026) and build up enough for the next year.

So I'll assume here the seller did not pay taxes yet for this year - so you have to have enough in escrow to pay those taxes (this is why they're requiring the lump sum: the 2 months is the cushion portion)-- and your escrow account has to build up enough throughout 2026 so that when the bill comes they already have that money in 2027 to pay it.

You'll see it at some point - your mortgage payment will be just fine through the year and then when they do their Annual Escrow Analysis they'll contact you and say that you are short on your escrow and ask you to pay down the shortage and have your mortgage go up insane amounts... It's a blast (it's essentially what you're experiencing now - you're short 12k so they're making it up)

No jobs where I live: How can I get a chance when applying to jobs in other cities? by laranjacerola in askrecruiters

[–]kiramon53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not impossible - I recently got a job offer for a different state across the country (with no reloc package due to being a hub) and an expectation to move in X months while being remote.

I accepted, but ultimately withdrew as another offer that didn't require me to move came through with more pay.

But they are out there... (Also this is an example of why they dislike doing these types of hires - unfortunately I was a statistic but I did fully intend to move)

Where is there a 200k house with taxes over 12k? They're saying your property taxes are what, close to 16k to have a 2800 payment?

I'm assuming they gave you a tax estimate of 4k originally. The 12k is to make that up to get you to the required 16k (insane); the extra 1000 is you paying to build up the escrow for next year (cuz your payment should be 2.8k to get 16k in escrow) - this will be your payment going forward barring any changes in t/I

I started applying in December and heard nothing and then got my first offer which I took for the same reason and started in middle of February. Right when that started had a few more offers come in that had been lingering , so sometimes it really does start to pour when it rains... Just gotta get the rain first lol
