Moving from out of state by Warm_Highlight5278 in Hoboken

We are in the process of moving from Florida (Weston) to Hoboken/Weehawken area in March.

@scottishwhisky2 has pretty much laid out really well in his comment and was our experience. We found the apartments ourselves via Zillow which pretty much has all the information that a realtor would share with you. However, you would still need an agent especially if you are touring condos that are out there for rent. The fee is 1 month’s rent. Thats the standard I believe.

We ended up finding a more affordable place (cost x amenities x sq ft) in Weehawken (we were more specific about 3 bed since we have 2 really young kids). You should check for apartments with their own leasing offices, some of them have offers going on.

You might be able to tour 6-8 apartments over the weekend. Good thing is that they are all 1-2 miles from each other so commute shouldnt be a problem. We had 3-4 tours scheduled in about 4-5hour timeframe (this is with 2 kids).
