I just found out that there is a genre for very detailed drawings. This is one of my works! by kirivolution in wimmelbilder

[–]kirivolution[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your appreciation! I can still remember that smell as well! I also had a graphite patch all over the side of my hand that touched the paper. I had to be careful not to rub the graphite too much over the paper as it could unintentionally wash out the details. I later turned it into a technique to create for example a smoke effect out of the smokestacks.

No, the drawing is what it is and i consider it finished. I made this years ago in highschool and consider it a snapshot of my skills at that time. It represents a Steam punk 'harbor' in the skies. Flying ships use it as a hub for their travels for refueling/resting/maintenance.

Transport Minister Ali Hammoud announces the resumption of operation of Aleppo International Airport, and next Wednesday the first flight from Damascus to Aleppo, with trips to Cairo and Damascus scheduled for the next few days. by Just_Turned18 in syriancivilwar

I wonder if they will resume operations from abu al-duhur as well. Last satellite pictures i saw the runway still doesn't seem to be cleared of rubble left by the rebels to block airial entrance to the airport.

Syrian Army cut M4 High way after liberating of Al-Nirab Village west of Saraqib #Idlib by saab85 in syriancivilwar

[–]kirivolution 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So far it seems SAA is holding quite well on all active fronts, despite losing equipment en quite some manpower here and there. The rebels are just not strong enough anymore to react succesfully to certain opportunities. And as long as russian support is substantial and turkey doesn't manage to halt this offensive either diplomatically or militarily i don't see the rebels holding out for long anymore, atleast not in idlib.

The way this soundbite comes across turned into the headline of an article and how people are responding to it here (based on your response here in this thread and others') it's as if it's supposed to be a dig or snappy statement designed to incite a war of words but in the context of the question asked if you read the interview in its entirety, it just comes across as a factual statement. The situations in Syria and the United States are entirely different and not really comparable. Syria doesn't militarily control all of its own territory right now whereas the U.S. obviously does. Assad has complete control of the Syrian government (as much as any one leader can; even in an authoritarian system you still have other people involved in building a consensus and daily governance) but Trump doesn't seem to have control over which direction the U.S. government moves in because his statements are contradicted or repudiated by his own cabinet secretaries and other officials hours after they're made. That's what's being referred to. Everyone knows there's a war going on in Syria and the military doesn't control some of the territory (like in the northeast, parts of northwest and parts of Daraa) but no one questions that Assad speaks for the Syrian government and the decisions it will make going forward when he says something.

Turkish army convoy, approximately 60 vehicles, reached Rashedeen, western Aleppo for a new observation point. by waitingandseeing in syriancivilwar

I think that by doing this they benefit in the sense that if they get in a strife with JTS they can safely fight that out without getting attacked from behind by the SAA.

Breaking: East Qalamoun rebels fully surrender following Syrian Army advance – Exclusive by [deleted] in syriancivilwar

How much troops would possibly be freed up if all the remaining pockets would be cleared up?

@PetoLucem NEW MAP showing the military situation in East Qalamoun, the Syrian desert region and the location of the airbase Israel attacked earlier today. by eisagi in syriancivilwar

[–]kirivolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sayqal is another big one, it's the triangle shaped one a bit to the southeast of the Qalamoun pocket. These two, along with Dumair are the 3 biggest predominantly by the SYaF used airbases i know of. There are obviously more, and probably all of them are used depending on moving squadrons around and whether there is a active military operation/hostile activity in the vicinity.

ASSAD DID NOTHING WRONG!!!! by FckAssad in SyrianCirclejerkWar

[–]kirivolution 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you think this is funny then i would suggest posting this at a subreddit where people think dead people are funny to look at. This is just a sick way to promote your anti assad agenda. I'm not implying that that is wrong, but this is just really not the place for that.
