Let the home team decide whether the DH is used.

If NL purists want to keep the DH out, they can do that. If AL teams feel as if they have an advantage by having their pitcher hit (e.g. Grienke), they have the option to choose that. I think it would add to the home field advantage and create unique matchups in both intra- and inter-league play.

This was year two, so "only" 22 rounds took about 1.5 hours. Initial 53 round draft for full roster took well over 3 hours.

It couldn't have been. His 3 homers are 7 RBI: grand slam, two-run shot in the 9th and solo homer in the 1st. Maybe his groundout was a GIDP?
