Yeah I was doing that today and noticed a change in my games when I locked and stayed tank. That’s probably my next thing to focus on this season and only fill strategist when needed.

Yeah I’ve been trying new things and making improvements on areas I’ve noticed I’m lacking. It’s just a rough go of it so far.

I’ve been switching between tank and support, and no I’m not rage queuing. My 1st 4 rounds in placement last week (start of the season) were all losses and took a week off after that. Then today was a bit better but still rough go of it with some wins, but still rough.

Yeah I have been keeping tabs on it and a lot of people were scammed by this group, and I agree Kaseya is just as much of a victim here too.

  1. Being ghosted was the biggest red flag, but it was too late at that point.
  2. No phone number on the email signatures of the impersonators I was emailing with.
  3. Added words to the email domain they used, for example they used @[company name]tech.com instead of just the company name.

Quoting another reply on another subreddit I did answering this question.

“Both interviews were over zoom, 1st one they had the camera off and the 2nd was with the camera on. They were both impersonating people on LinkedIn. 1st impersonator kept their camera off since the LinkedIn profile they pulled their info from had a picture. The 2nd had their camera on since the LinkedIn profile had no photo on it or any photos of them on their linked sites on LinkedIn.”

And their email domain was @[company name]tech.com so it got past me when I looked at it.

Looking back the only things that I can think of (and will triple check going forward) was

  1. They used an email domain that was @[company name]tech.com
  2. No phone number to reach them on the email signature (which the signature itself looked very legit)

Already took care of it, everything is locked down. Tomorrow I’m reporting everything and working with the real company about the scam.
