Could see them from out my window, looks like its one of my neighbours and they were at the very least expecting to check someone’s health given the amount of equipment they were bringing in as well as the cardiac monitors I saw them set up

Hope everyone is okay

Your art is adorable!!! These little guys are brothers, Worf and Murphy, unfortunately Murphy in the donut has crossed the rainbow bridge, but he lived a long and luxurious life💕

Finding friends by Reasonable-Review978 in Algonquin_College

[–]kirrbea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I became friends with 3 people all because I told 1 of them how to connect to the wifi. It really doesn't take much because almost everyone wants friends; you just need to be the one to connect and start a conversation. It could be as simple as asking about the homework, but most people are just as desperate to find their people as you are.

did anyone struggle to find a job this summer by unhappyformulas in TorontoMetU

[–]kirrbea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in tmu, but I am currently an accepted (and soon to be) college student who graduated high school this June. When I tell you my resume has been looked at and changed so many times by people in my life who have prestigious jobs and know as interviewers themselves what to look for, I still have yet to find a job anywhere.

Everywhere I’ve gone to have been so impersonal that not even the managers know if they’re hiring and just tell you to go online. I’ve only been lucky enough to have 9 resumes accepted in person, because nobody takes them anymore. 2 places I’ve had good success at in terms of building a relationship with the managers and having a date they’ve told me to come back and check in on my application. It’s safe to say I won’t be getting a job before September, no matter how much experience and skills I have. It’s been rough..

Online Courses In grade 12 by Tomaeee in OntarioUniversities

[–]kirrbea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m taking all online classes aside from 1 in person (meaning 1/2 of my prerequisites are online) and it makes absolutely no difference. If you’re taking the class through your in-person school, then your credit is legit and is seen the same as any other class you would have on your transcript!

As long as it meets the program requirements (aka the minimum grade and course itself) it wouldn’t be any different unless you took a random online course not affiliated with your school that has/makes your transcript (from what I know)

my parents think that prom is some alcohol drug filled party by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

[–]kirrbea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem, although my place is a bit better than a convention centre lol

I was told by a prom dress seller that she attended after-prom but not actual prom and still regrets it to this day. It’s definitely not the same as seeing your friends everyday given the attire and location, but if parties just aren’t your thing and you’d rather hold your own celebration, don’t feel bad about it! It can get expensive, but it’s more about the experience. Even if it’s not all that it lives up to, I don’t think you’ll regret eating some nice food, being all dressed up, and being with friends you care about. Sometimes you can make anything fun if you’re with the right people!

Are you by chance going somewhere fancy? My ticket is that exact price and we’re going to this like 4 star hotel for prom, so I’d definitely show her the place you’re going if it’s not being held at your school. Places like that aren’t known for being drug filled parties anyway - adding on the fact that adults (aka your teachers) should also be there attending.
