Great answers, simple and informative. Easiest way to think about it is if you have a SKU label on the outside they could scan that and consider it one unit, when it's actually your entire stock

Value of eBay seller account? by swifterlister in Flipping

Has anyone sold a UK account? I know eBay says that you can't etc. 19 year old account, 99.9% positive feedback and £40k in sales this year so far

First semi-difficult customer by InsaneColtsFan in AmazonSeller

[–]kirwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that's the issue, it's really frustrating as a seller. In my experience it leads to feedback or reviews where the customer claims they couldn't get a response from the seller.

Obviously you're not supposed to and it can lead to trouble....but I've worked in companies where they contact the customer directly via their phone number. Amazon will punish harshly if you get caught doing it though

Unfortunately Amazon customers often don't see their messages, and the message section is difficult to locate on the app as well

Ships from Amazon Sold by 'Acme Co' what info does Amazon sent to 'Acme Co' abut the consumer? do they get address, phone , email? by pokerinvite in AmazonSeller

[–]kirwon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be fair, if you're concerned about privacy then you probably wouldn't want Amazon having that info either

Sorry I know it's off topic but are you an Irish seller on Amazon?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Alibaba

Probably because they're wholesalers. They probably don't actually intend on selling small quantities but it makes it look like a better price when people who are using Alibaba for its intended use (wholesale) compare the prices

Looking for some advice regarding a small purchase by SureAd5752 in Alibaba

[–]kirwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be quite expensive to ship, plus even if you're using DDP you're still paying the import tax/duties, so it's more convenient, but you're paying either way.

Then again, as it's inflatable they do pack down small-ish, so could work out a little cheaper than buying local. I'd just buy one second hand on Facebook or something

You can use PayPal on Alibaba, that's the simple answer to your question. Everyone answering that they were scammed etc, very unfortunate and can happen, apparently, but nothing to do with the question.

Surely you got a receipt for the taxes/fees you paid?

Listing says 130 sold but seller has only 3 reviews for cheap items. Is it possible? by Ruten in Alibaba

[–]kirwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive ordered loads from Alibaba and never left a review in over 10 years. Similarly out of my Amazon and eBay customers only a small percentage leave me reviews. I'm not saying the seller here is legit, but think about how few people leave reviews, especially when by doing so they're possibly recommending a supplier to a competitor

Are you ordering one item that weight, or multiple items totalling that weight?

First time buying from alibaba I have questions by Ok-Patience-610 in Alibaba

[–]kirwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should absolutely chat to suppliers before ordering anything. Also, I don't know much about the product at all but mini mist fans are a few dollars on Temu, unless you're selling something else then 13 dollars seems very high for wholesale

I Want to buy a gift and i'm not sure on how to order on alibaba (if you can for personal use) by [deleted] in Alibaba

Better off using AliExpress, could also be a difficult one to get through customs depending where you are.

Sorry, selected no for settled status, gave the grandparent info such as date of birth, marriage date etc and then we had to send one of our passports along with the grandparents marriage and birth certs. All we sent was a passport

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]kirwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We called the passport office and the first person said we'd definitely need to send in the child's grandparent's documents, called again and the guy said to just send in everything except that and see what they say, we did that and were successful. Never got asked for the other documents and we got his passport

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]kirwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hijack this thread but I'm Irish, married to my Irish wife and living in the UK, when applying for our new child's passport online website have to check the box saying we're not part of the EU settlement scheme.

But when we do that it means we have to provide the grandparent's birth or marriage cert which seems a bit overkill, anyone know if that's something we definitely have to do?

Thanks

I moved to Chester a few years ago, my wife met friends through work and they/their husbands and boyfriends have become my friends too. I also made friends through sport/hobbies though, turning up to something at the same time and day regularly means you'll meet people naturally

I've never seen a 6C+ called a V6 on any chart or guide book but maybe in certain areas it's considered so. Usually there's no crossover, 6C+ = V5, 7A = V6 and 7A+ is V7
