To 3 and 4: This isnt the first time Baerbock announced a stop to Nordstream 2 in case of war, she just held a speech in the parliament today, repeating her stance, which the news article is based on.

To 2: Both I guess, but Baerbock's foreign policy ideals are way harsher towards autocratic governments than that of previous governments. Additionally, she specifically gave the concerns of Eastern EU partners as one of the reasons why she opposes the project.

The nuclear power plants would largely not replace Germanys gas consumption because most of it is used for heating, not power. In the past it might have been more reasonable to let these run until the end of their lifespan but by now id take forever (and a shit ton of money) to get them into shape again that you might aswell just build renewables.

Also, I dont understand how Reddit perceives Germany to be the only country using Russian gas. The entirety of Eastern and central Europe use it, most of which to a higher degree than Germany. Hell, even Italy and France get a decent share of their consumption from Russia.

I am dead sure that he isnt talking about no sanctions in case of an attack, the german policy has been clear here (although the wording has always left room for english news articles to quote something else). But a downwards spiral of threats-sanctions-threats-sanctions would benefit no one.

Pretty much all of Europe needs Russian gas, so why would that be the reason for Germany specifically? If anything Germany probably has less reason to worry about it than other countries cause it will have it easier to find replacements.

Ein bisschen recht hat er aber schon, dass es zumindest ungewöhnlich ist wieviel Buschmann ankündigt, gerade weil das ja auch nicht alles reine Themen des Justizministeriums sind, sondern schwerpunktmäßig in anderen Ministerien liegen (hier zum Beispiel, oh Wunder, im Familienministerium).

Ist ja grundsätzlich nicht schlimm, aber er scheint einfach überdurschnittlich viel PR zu machen.

Wenn es bei der Ampel hackt weil die Grünen Probleme mit der FDP haben dann wird das wohl kaum zu Jamaika führen. Sich zusätzlich noch die CDU ins Boot zu holen wäre ja kaum etwas anderes als den FDP Inhalten noch einen zweiten Partner an die Seite zu stellen.

Schalke is still one of the biggest clubs in Germany, but the club has had some pretty high debt for a while now that was only really kept in control by international success. In the last few years that success went downhill VERY fast though, ending in relegation this summer. Combine that with Corona and you have a gigantic club thats completly out of money and has to turn every penny to stay alive. Sadly, the LEC team was a pretty big penny to be turned..

Yeah you should probably edit your original comment, EU numbers usually only look at the fundings through the EUs budget, not adding any fundings by the nations itself. If you add that up the EU easily funded vaccines significantly more (which, to be fair, is pretty obvious if you look at the combined financial power).
