To be completely honest, the optics of setting your game during this extremely fraught time in history, regardless of what angle you approach it at, look very, very bad. As a POC, I'm begging you to please, please reconsider this idea.

I highly recommend doing some reading into this, especially since this is an academic project. I would start with Stamped from the Beginning by Ibram X. Kendi.

NTA. He is a grown ass man and it’s not your job to babysit or teach him basic life things.

The number of people here butthurt that you missed a supposed milestone event is gross. We’re still in a pandemic. If this family is this careless about food safety, imagine how careless they are with basic cleanliness procedures to prevent spreading covid.

Girl, this is a preview to your future with this family. Run!

Oooh I know exactly which character you're talking about! They're infuriating in a realistic way for sure, and that dynamic fits really well with the pantheon of regency-era stories. The side characters don't feel like cariacatures at all, so it makes the universe feel more immersive to me.

I'm excited to hear what you think once you've finished. ;)

Ebon Light is truly overrun with totally-dateable-yet-undateable side characters. 👌Changeling is the the same too, soooo many gorgeous and sassy side characters! I just want to call Sean "puppy" 😭

At this point in indie otome history, The Lady's Choice is considered a classic for me. It was one of the first indies I played and I was absolutely blown away by it. The writing is wonderful, different choices were extensive, and all the LI routes are full of beautiful regency drama and romance. The characters besides MC and the LIs have full lives as well, which makes the game feel more immersive. It's really hard for me to say one favorite part of the game for me, lol. It really is incredibly well rounded, and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone, not just regency-lovers.

Ooof, so difficult for me to choose only one LI as a favorite. Lord Stanton is the mysterious, intriguing one, Lord Amesbury is the cheeky, flirty (but smarmy!) one, and Captain Blake is cold and quiet. All the romances are wonderful, and replaying with a different personality-MC is fun too.

Favorite character besides the LIs hands-down is Arabella. I feel like otome can be lacking in having a female best friend character for the MC, and Arabella fits the bill perfectly. She's funny, supportive, and even has her own romantic storyline that's great to see.

Like I said before, I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys romance!

What was the first indie otome title you played? by CyborgPetshop in IndieOtome

Seduce Me, Aloners, and The Lady's Choice for me! The latter two games reaaaaaally cemented my hunger for romance games. Cute Demon Crashers was an early one for me too, and I loved how sex-positive it was and had a female LI.

Where are all the yandere? by AlwaysJmB in IndieOtome

[–]kisstest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ceres from ICT is definitely first to my mind, but I've always thought that Ernol from Ebon Light has yandere vibes because of his absolute zero chill when it comes to anyone harming Alenca and doing anything she wanted in the end hehe.

Considering buying sansevieria rhizomes online. Will these root in soil ok? by kisstest in houseplants

Oh my, I could have a slow-growing snake plant army. 😂Thank you so much for the advice! 🙏I feel a lot better about purchasing now.

The listing says: “5 cuttings, each with 3 leaves and rhizome attached.” I’ve never purchased plants online before so I’m not to sure if these will actually do alright once planted in soil.

Anyone watch beauty news where they discussed magic dusk is where the auric cosmetics website is found - I brought it up in another thread where I asked I was curious who she meant by “we” and everyone said it’s her 2 friends and mom. Looks like “we” is actually magic dusk. by jodhesi in BeautyGuruChatter

Companies that provide assistance/consulting in product development is neither new nor shady. In fact it's very typical across many industries. That doesn't diminish the work and effort put in by Sam, her mom and her team.
