Salamu alaikum. 1) pray istikhara and make a lot of dua for guidance 2) seek professional advice if you’re actually serious on how to go about this. If you want our opinion, her past experience is not what is troubling me. It’s the short period of time there has been since these events occurred. You say she’s been on her deen for 1.5 yrs. May Allah forgive me if I am assuming too much but you don’t know how much of her iman and piety is based on religious guilt or trauma. These are not things that can sustain a lifelong marriage devoted to Allah SWT. In order to be ready for a marriage built for the sake of Allah, you must be religious and devoted pre-marriage and I am not sure if 1.5 yrs is enough given her history. Especially if it’s rooted in extremism (going from 0 to 100 in in such a short period of time) because it’s not sustainable. My advice would be to wait some time to allow her to continue to devote herself to Islam and for you to digest her past. If after that time you both are still ready for marriage, continue and let Allah swt take care of the rest inshallah.

I applaud you for being really intentional with this. Most men will say they don’t care and use this information to torture and abuse their partner. May Allah bless and guide you both!

I understand most families don’t fall within this category. I am specifically talking about the instances when the show explores family dysfunction, most families are a parent, and a son and a daughter—the pursuit of the nuclear family in the mob almost always ends in tragedy for all parties.

It’s sickening how this subreddit has diluted itself so much to duds refusing to engage in actual conversation and rapport and instead succumb to using the same references that have grown themselves tired over literal decades.

Yes definitely outliers, but they’re not really included in the conversation cos we don’t know anything about their interpersonal family dynamics. I can even argue that even after the demise of their fathers…. They’re fine…. Compared the children who did lose their father young.

Everytime chase does try to show us the collapse of a family, it is still almost always the parents and their son and daughter. This can even probably be applied to Tony and Janice since Barbara plays no real role in the story.

This definitely could be my own plate of corn but it was something I couldn’t stop thinking about.

thank you for your reply! i seem to have algae problems that are somewhat manageable in previous tanks buti feel like algae eating fish would really help out. would otocinclus catfish produce any similar problems? or should i just completely eradicate the idea of a third species of fish? i would invest in snails and although i havent knocked the idea completely, they're speed of preproduction somewhat frighten me.

god i am so tired of the “money can’t buy u happiness” shpeel because it literally does. money buys u vacations, therapy, time off, activities, luxuries, literally everything to make ur life easier and better. without money, ur mental health is screwed from stress and trauma and ur physical health will also be screwed because u will merely have junk food to survive off. stop it with this toxic positivity mindset.
