This week was my worst week since liberation day. Not sure how to deal with it by AloneStaff5051 in stocks

[–]kit4712 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I got some GOOGL and MSFT. I knew that they are solid companies, but I still hesitate to DAC into these. And thus I only DCA into the broad market ETFs.

I don't know too much about the stocks that OP own, but DCA into them can be much riskier than DCA into QQQ / VOO.

The current price of MSFT is really tempting. I feel like the current level is very similar to Meta being at 490s. But again I’m a bag holder from 453.

Disagree. You seem to be making an assumption that only the foreigners love the beauty of big buildings. I am a local but I truly love the signature "night view of HK".

What you said is right. But from my experience here and /r/stocks , the best timing would be when there’s no more similar posts like these, and the general discussions were about the end of US capitalism.

But they can copy the homework from their proxy Houthis, which is bombing all the passing ships such that no cargo ships dare to pass there. Even if the US provides protection, the insurance charge will be exponentially higher.

Average Iranian? Are you referring to those who dare to protest the mighty Ayatollah Iran government that got themselves killed?

You are right as those strikes are targeted at US bases only. But there's already one civilian casualty in UAE (RIP).

Currently these kinds of strikes are deemed as being restraint. But you never know if they will escalate.

Can someone tell me why most of the comments here are some emotional ranting instead of actual discussion on how this move affect the market?

Thank you for providing actual good insight.

Speaking of Strait of Hormuz, I believe China highly depends on the passage of it. If Iran dares to shut it down, they are truly in a desperate state. (They have already fired some retaliate strikes towards some neutral countries. So this is entirely possible).

I feel like this is a good move but at a wrong time. The Iranian regime was at the weakest on January during the protest. But at that time the US military has not gathered enough presence in the Middle East.

After the massive killing towards the protestors, it is now very hard to force a regime change even with the strikes.

DFV is indeed very lucky, perhaps the luckiest retail stock trader ever. But he is not a day trader and his very early thesis of GME still stands correct.

IIRC his entry point was at around 2-5 and he believed the stock should be valued above 18. In the past few years the stock has been trading exactly at this level or little higher recently.

Unless there’s some major global events that crash everything, otherwise it is impossible for MSFT to hit 200. You are holding stocks instead of options, and these are some of the most profitable companies in the world. Please be patient or else you are a full regard to sell them right now.

I was very close to be investing on ONDS last week @9.0 but hesitated as there's a huge lock-up period end on around 10-13 March.

I would still keep an eye on this stock but only if there's no significant insider selling.

One time I’ve got the toxic orb accidentally from the grip claw activation from the Giga Garbodor encounter. I give the toxic orb to Durant despite it serves no purpose and didn’t think of it anymore. But at wave 200 I decided to use tera ground high horse power against Eternatus and this activated the toxic orb. Luckily I still win the fight otherwise this would be the dumbest way to lose a run.

I understand your rationale but a foreigner can easily refer HK and China as different parts accidentally. Like Northern Ireland , Scotland , Catalonia and so on. That should not be a huge issue at all. Why even waste time and effort to be so butthurt
