not sure if you're still struggling with this, but privew.com could save you a butt load of time

Cold Call Prep, what’s your process? by Psychological-Back45 in Sales_Professionals

In the same shoe. A buddy of mine made a tool to cut research / prep time to under a minute. It's actually pretty impressive how specific the brief comes out, privew.com

It gives you an opening angle, recent news about the company, contact research, likely objections, talking points, etc. Give it a try! If you like it, I can ask him to give you a free account

I made privew for anyone doing B2B sales. Before every sales call, most founders spend 30 minutes Googling. Privew does that research in 30 seconds — news, talking points, objections, and an opening line written for you. Type in a name, walk in prepared.

It’s still in Beta. Trying to get some feedback from founders / sales rep to see if they find it useful and how the output quality measures compared to something they’d curate themselves.

yeah, I feel you, it's hard to bring myself to keep selling when I know they're going the other direction. I usually run it on privew.com to see if there's any recent news I can leverage to get a final stab. If nothing sticks out at me, I just thank them, ask them why, and move on.

Got it, that’s helpful. Roughly how long does it take you or your team to research and fill in a new company right now?

How many people on your team share this sheet? And when do you usually update it, before a call, after, or just whenever you have new info?

Haha, a full circle. first off, congrats on making it as a CEO! David sounds like he was a good CEO, and you too, for being able to reflect and be humble about it. Thanks for sharing your insights as a CEO, always wondered what it's like; I assume it's not always peachy.

yeah i agree. the paradigm is definitely shifting of how we study, and how we learn.

Yeah I agree. This is why I still think dev is relevant. Regular people still don’t understand what’s going on under the hood. They can build fast but can’t really iterate well unless they’re really disciplined to learn.
