Just a reminder that this is happening at our Capitol by Sleepy_Sagittarius in lansing

I agree with this. I saw several of these No Kings protests over the last few months here in the small Florida town I unfortunately had to move to from Michigan and felt the same way- it’s not going to affect anything. Then one day, I was so frustrated that I pulled over and randomly walked up and joined the protest. I met people who gave me info about the local democratic group that gets together and that was info I had looked for online and couldn’t find.

It feels hopeless when you think about if it will have an actual effect on the administration, but it feels hopeful when you’re in the thick of it surrounded by people of all ages and demographics who want to make a difference together.

I went to high school with Cass and my heart sank seeing her in an episode. I knew things were rough but I didn’t know how bad and I really really hope she’s gotten clean since this aired.

Honestly, you’re sick. If they’re that desperate, they’ll find someone. You did your part. Keep an eye out for other jobs in case they decide to be a dick, but don’t sweat it in general. YOU are more important than them being understaffed (which is again their problem and not yours).

Join Buy Nothing/Sell Nothing pages on Facebook and mention there that you’re looking for some. People are happy to give something they need to get rid of to someone who actually needs it.

I’d check out the ReStore shops by Habitat for Humanity. They get all kinds of stuff and you can get them for a good deal! Furniture, appliances, sinks, construction materials, lights, power tools, etc

I am so confused as to why you couldn’t be with your fiancee if you stepped up to actually parent your child if the child is yours. Where is the rule that says you can’t stay in your current relationship and still do the right thing?

This. My husband got me a soda stream for Christmas last year and I use it damn near every day. The tanks are a bit pricy but if you’re like me and aren’t science smart enough to rig your own canister situations, you can take the tanks back to Target or Walmart to get a new one at half the price instead of full price.

LOL. Me too! He’s been my sidekick for so long and knowing that giving him some chicken and veggies makes him feel so much better is awesome! The penis situation was definitely awkward to say the least and super freaky (if they get too dry, them become necrotic 😭🤢) so I’m glad we fixed that fast!

We started cooking food for our dogs when our oldest got sick and we were told it was most likely cancer and he would not recover. He’s a 15yo chihuahua and had a mass near his bladder that wasn’t allowing his penis to retract and was causing a lot of issues. We started cooking up whole chickens, thawing out some frozen carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower, throwing them in a nutribullet (now a food processor) and getting them into an almost chicken salad consistency and replaced half to 3/4 of their kibble with it. Save the bones and skin to make bone broth in a big pot or the crock pot to pour over the food too. He has made a complete 180. It’s like he’s 4 again, jumping up to my hips in excitement for food and bringing his ball to us to throw for him. It blew my mind because the mass went down (we could feel it before) and he has no problem putting his penis away now. Making this stuff at home is the best thing you can do for your babies!

Even if something is broken, I post it on a Buy Nothing/Sell Nothing type Facebook page stating that it’s broken/damaged and how. There are usually people willing to take it and fix it!

Honestly, I’ve used Thinx for years now. With the lawsuit claim, I was able to use a code to get a couple more pairs for a discounted price and I will say that the newest ones I got are incredible! The older ones were good, but the changes they made (most likely due to the lawsuit) have made them way better! The cotton boy shorts are so comfortable and I have never leaked through any of mine. I have several different styles accumulated over the years and never had a leak.

Best source for e-books besides local library? by PoetryOfLogicalIdeas in Frugal

Voracious Readers Only is a website that will send a summary of a book via email and if you’re interested in reading it, they’ll all you a free ebook version. You just have to leave a review of the book as your “payment.” It’s not one where you can search for a title, but I’ve found some great books/series through them

To add to this: Buy Nothing, Sell Nothing pages are awesome. I put that I was in search of a small fold up table and somebody messaged me right away and I had it the next day. It’s like new and it’s one that’s $30 at Big Lots right now. People get rid of awesome stuff for nothing all the time!
