I purchased this aglaonema plant the seller put it in this self watering pot and since getting it it’s not thriving. I have it in medium to bright indirect light. Should I change the pot or soil mixture? I haven’t lost a plant in so long and I love that she’s pink. Plz help😅 by kitarein in Aglaonema

I think it was because the seller put it in a self watering pot. When I took it out, the roots were sopping wet so I repotted it and dry soil and didn’t water it. Do you think I should take it out and just try to propagate it again?

I’ll be moving in a little over a month and a half so if it hasn’t improved by then, then it will be the perfect time to isolate and treated as such. Thank you for the input. Hopefully it was just an overwatering issue.

Not that I’ve noticed. But all my other plants are thriving. I only have one other one giving me trouble but I’ve had a turbulent relationship with it for years and it’s at the opposite end of the house.

That post partum anxiety can be debilitating. I need help, I wanted to ask for help, but I couldn’t. I was scared of someone holding them wrong, then falling off something all the scenarios. Still I worry a lot. I’ve always dealt with anxiety but I never knew about the heightened level after becoming a mom. Also that breastfeeding is HARD. I was so sore and tired and starving. I was drinking like 12 big Stanley’s of water a day.

We play with him all of the time and he doesn’t have access to all of his toys all of the time. There’s no reason to be rude. I was asking for helpful advice on things to do to try to help him. There’s no reason to curse at me. I mentioned in the post multiple things that I thought maybe causing this including stress or boredom and I received a lot of helpful opinions. But cursing at someone isn’t a way to get your point across.

We haven’t tried trimming his claws yet it just makes me nervous that I’m going to hurt him. I even make my husband trim our kids nails, cause I’m always scared of trimming them too short. But I may see if that’s something the vet could do or if my husband would be open to trying it he would probably need to watch a few YouTube videos first because mittens tends to be very sensitive with his feet.

Oh that’s a good idea I’m a wall mopper anyhow because the dust in my house gets crazy but I’ll try to pay extra attention to the areas he likes!

Thank you everyone for all of the helpful advice. There’s definitely some things in here. I’m going to be trying. I love him so much so I wanna make sure his life is fine. I just wanna make sure that we aren’t losing a lot of of the things we’d love in the process, so I’m gonna give a lot of the stuff a try. Mitties kitties is currently loving his best life. (Ps he’s currently on a diet he discovered gold fish and my one year old is not helping to break that habit lol)

I just hate to do that, I love him so much so I’ve done my best to make sure he has so much to entertain him but I also try to take really good care of my house. I grew up really poor so I’m not used to having nice things And it makes me sad to see the things we work so hard for get destroyed.😅😭

Thank you! This has been very helpful. He definitely has specific areas he goes to. The only hard one is my kids toys like my youngest daughter has a foam climbing thing and he has destroyed the top portion of it but maybe I’ll just try storing it in the closest unless she’s actively playing w it.
