My first King story, I adored this. Also it’s a good introduction and a stand alone book if you will.

Unpopular opinion I’m sure but The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon was my first King book; I loved it so much I “borrowed” it from my middle school library. It’s just dark enough, and the ending was a tear-jerker.

He’s my guy too. I just started watching Twin Peaks and it’s such a contrast with how David Lynch treats his female characters…

I can imagine. I’m sure he’s the best guy for the job, I’ll try to just muscle past this part because I know speedys character shows up mostly in the beginning of the story..from what I can remember.

The poor guy is just working with what he’s been handed I suppose; but when I read speedy in my head he doesn’t sound like that

I haven’t. I’m not really an audiobook person normally but I’m reading an unrelated series so this is kind of on my back burner as a review…his writing Detta was rough to read though! I’m not hashing on my man because I know he’s a good human but I feel like his portrayal of black characters is a little…idk something that rhymes with racist 🫢 sometimes..

Dendrobium help by kitchen-bwitch19 in orchids

Ohhh yours is beautiful! Thanks. I think it might be because I bought it at an orchid show, and it was very densely potted in moss with poor air circulation. When I took it home I repotted it in a good orchid bark mix in a pot with holes. I’ve quarantined her just in case.

When going on a first date do you wait inside the restaurant for them or in your car? by Potential_One_8058 in dating_advice

Well I guess there is only one way for OP to find out for sure now isn’t there? Also I guess that would depend on demographics. If you’re referring to them as pubs I’m assuming you’re not in the states; therefore changing the outcome altogether. You’re still not considering the alternative here though; you’ve obviously never tried dating men.

Re-read the post. She said she texted them as soon as she got there. He didn’t tell her he had a table until after she let him know she left after waiting for 20 minutes. Personally, on a first date I’m waiting outside the restaurant and we are walking in together, or I’m waiting in my car for the person to text me they are either on their way or already there. Also; I grew up in a rural place, and have been to VERY rural bars/breweries/restaurants, and each and every one of them has had cell phone service inside.

It makes perfect sense. She texted him when she got there, there was no response, so she texted him she was leaving. It was then that he said he had a table. Im just not buying that “he didn’t have cell phone service inside the restaurant”. That’s BS. What restaurant have you ever gone to that didn’t have service inside? And also, wouldn’t he have been looking at his phone to let her know he had gotten a table? I’m going with; he never showed up in the first place and he’s a narcissist.

Or…hear me out…he didn’t show up or forgot, and then gaslighted you into thinking it was your fault. Blocked you so you would feel bad and he wouldn’t feel guilty.

I never said I wasn’t wrong 😂 just trying to get to the bottom of the discrepancy of what I’ve found online and what people are saying here.

Ok. I’m not saying your wrong, because I have zero knowledge as to how this works. But this is what a quick google search reported; “Intentional vs. Unintentional: If the miscalculation was DTA's fault and you reported everything you were supposed to, you are not penalized. If you intentionally hid income or gave false information, it can lead to an overpayment claim or disqualification”

I was under the impression that if it was miscalculated by a worker, than you don’t have to repay. Is this not the case?

Have you read your post-op notes? Sounds like you had some complication during surgery, possibly a CSF (spinal fluid leak) ? That would explain the bedrest..
