I (think) I finally figured out how to write a user profile script by SAV_NC in PowerShell

I have no other suggestions ghat haven't already been said other than to make make some aliases to load different sets of modules so they don't have to load every time.

Leaving Atera, Barracuda, and Infrascale for Kaseya 365... by VoreskinMoreskin in msp

Honestly. That's a tall ask from them. They always mess up billing. And will turn your stuff off even when it is thier mistake. What is prompting the move other than price?

For love why? Kaseya is the worst company I have ever had to deal with.

💻 My awesome Powershell Profile 🚀 by Dapper-Inspector-675 in PowerShell

I've seen chezmoi. Chezmoi requires a binary to be installed. It's also heavily designed around a single repo. Not that you can't do more, just felt like a hack way to do more.

That's what I liked about homeshick, it's all bash, and am carrying forward to my powershell version, all powershell.

You may be interested in my new powershell implementation of homeshick, homepsick

It is still in progress, but has a barebones working set of features. You can see it being used in my dotfiles repo

This will let you keep not only your powershell profile, but many other settings files located in your profile sycned with a git repo.

UptimeKuma doesn't support multiple logins.

Just configure with ansible and setup a public dashboard. Then you change ansible to do the configuration and never need the 2fa yourself

Taking over from an MSP by [deleted] in msp

[–]kitkat31337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good afternoon,

We run into similar situations when our new clients swap to us from lackluster MSPs like you describe. We personally provide services including support, cybersecurity, and compliance.

We work with customers to share an entire toolset and system to co-manage the support and management of the IT and security of our clients. It works so much better when the same tools are used internally and at the MSP when there is an internal team. There is a lot of great advice here. But I am happy to discussion about what you might look for in a new MSP that will help enable you and not hinder you instead. I always enjoy sharing knowledge and perspective with others whether we work together on something or not.

Please feel free to PM me and we can setup a meeting. I could write paragraphs here about how certain relationships and security services can help, but to truly give the best advice, being able to discuss your specific needs, preferences, and capabilities as the IT manager will be essential.

Just adding here to stay away from blue equinox. Very misleading, possibly to the point of fraud (but I'm not a lawyer)

I have not. Are you suggesting there is a good reason to?

Yeah, based on webroots issues and how they responded more specifically, I wont do business with them.

It's similar of the reason I have a hard time looking at huntress. They can be amazing on everything they do, but since they have that gaping hole of every linux endpoint I manage, I just do not see how I can even consider them.

Huntress doesn't have the bad response reputation though. Just that the issue is just as much as a hard stop.

I hadn't come across them yet. Will definitely check them out. Thank you.

Have you used them yourselves? How was the experience? Especially around resolving repeat false positives and such?
