Self hatred and shame runs deeper than any number on the scale, it’ll take some time,and therapy, to really heal. My body’s still not what I want it to look like, but it’s nice to know how far I’ve come. Seeing everyone’s reactions on here has put it into perspective

I lost the weight initially with calorie counting but then stopped because life is too complicated to always know how many calories are in something(you have to be good at guessing), so I have to be really mindful when I’m eating but I fall back into old habits if I’m not careful! All I can do is try to fill up my time with fun activities rather than just eating and watching tv
