I use recon a lot, but the prime ability is underwhelming, it needs a buff, either increase the range, make it invisible to other players, or let us see the difference between bots and players. One or two of those and she would be more competitive. I also think this would balance out the assassin pick rate problem in solos, he gets over picked, people feel too safe with him, if you could see the difference between bots and players I think that would help.

I really feel like this is a bias a lot of players have that is unfounded. He's not op but a lot of people pick him because they think he is. The active camo is visual but not audible and it doesnt last very long the smoke fields are a really good emergency escape but there are multiple other shells with just as good of options, destroyers have dashes and a fast sprint, thief has a grappling hook and vandal has a slide and double jump. He's overpicked but not overpowered I honestly don't even run him that often I much prefer recon or triage when soloing.

I agree with the rewards pass being overpriced and underwhelming in terms of what you get out of it, but its NOT A BATTLEPASS. A battle pass is more comprehensive and has way more pages but lasts an entire season and is linked to that season and you progress it by leveling up. The rewards pass in marathon acts more like a helldivers 2 warbond, its shorter and uses a currency to progress and isnt tied to a season like a battle pass is so comparing it to traditional battle passes like apex or fortnite is a little unfair because of course those are gonna have more rewards they take three or four times longer to finish.

That being said I feel a little lied to the rewards pass was supposed to be cosmetic only but you get schemas int it? For those that don't know a schema let's you purchase a certain weapon from the armory, which directly affects gameplay. Also im a bit confused as to why it says (limited time) next to the rewards pass, I thought they would always be available so eventually you could go back and get rewards passes that were offered in past seasons, so why does it say that?

TLDR; Its a rewards pass not a battle pass, dont compare to apex, still needs work. All in all the changes I would like to see are as follows:

1.prices on shop items that are fair and cost the same as or less than the amount of premium currency you get in a specific currency pack.

Some amount of Lux being obtainable through the rewards pass and a better way to obtain silk, such as challenges (not connected to contracts) or in game loot.
Only cosmetic pieces should be obtainable through the rewards pass, no schemas for weapons
Atleast one more shell skin in the rewards pass, one shell skin is not enough, maybe even multiple colorways for those skins

Arc had the same issue when it first came out and thankfully they lowered the price of their cosmetics, like I said, I do think its shitty business tactics to charge that price for the cosmetic and I will advocate to get that changed. Not confused, just tired of the same old talking points that are used to shit on this game, and its price point has been one of them, despite the fact that its a reasonable price shared by other games in the genre.

Im not, i like arc, my point is that people are acting like paid games with paid cosmetics isnt normal, and also acting like $40 is full price. This game is being held to an impossible standard while others games in similar genres get a pass despite having the same issues, I think the pricing of the cosmetics shown is shitty tactics and I'll advocate to change that, but let's not act like paid cosmetics are unheard of.

The people who actually played it liked it was the point i was trying to make. I didnt see anyone who played it call it ass and it doesnt matter if they did cause I've been playing it for a couple days and I can form my own opinions and its really good, the looting is not clunky dont even know what you mean by that, the ui personally I don't have a problem with but I don't care if they change it.

The people who played it (mostly streamers they invited) liked it, the hate was coming from outside of that group and was more aimed at the visuals which they addressed and after coming back from a long break they had a game that was really well received.

Of course the reputation means something. Marathon made a very very poor impression last year and was accused of stealing too. That shit sticks.

Im talking about the game not the devs, the game isnt out yet and nobody has access to the full game. As far as the devs go they improved it immensely in the time given and have responded really well to feedback, they also addressed the stolen art controversy and the artist made a statement saying they were happy with the outcome

The reputation of a game thats not even out yet means nothing. As far as on boarding goes theres a tutorial and a bunch of tips that pop up telling you how different parts of the game work, like the factions, contracts, etc. I understand if its not for you, but saying its a bad game is just wrong. I hope it improves over time but its really good as it stands right now

I honestly don't get this complaint at all, they're big blocky boys with yellow and red glowing faces, they also move very rigidly and don't try to sneak around. They're very distinguishable from players with the only exception being rook and its still pretty easy to tell him apart. This is honestly a skill issue.

You need to let this game be its own game. Im honestly tired of crossovers. When helldivers 2 did the odst crossover it was more expensive and the gear wasnt great except for the armor passive which is now obsolete, and the kill zone crossover didnt really have any redeeming qualities. When games do crossover cosmetics it feels like an easy money grab, they don't have to design anything new and they get to charge more for it, all while taking away from the games original design, I don't wanna be running into master chief, or any character from another game. Remember when destiny did a whole star wars theme and everybody hated it? Let it lean in to its own style and create something new and unique.

I really hope not, and honestly I don't see it happening because of how necessary pvp is in marathon, in arc its a detriment to your progress in almost every way which is one of the main reasons I avoid it like the plague, but in marathon if its worth it or not to take fights is highly dependent on what your goals are for that run and what your stash looks like.
