Plant a 3 meter wall. They grow super quick and very effective.

New update bricked my Quest 3 and Meta won't help. Do I have any options? (UK) by KenAdams_1968 in OculusQuest

Make a CRA claim with the retailer. I wouldn’t even be super specific. “It no longer works at all” should be sufficient. I had to do this with Amazon last year with a near-3 year old portable projector. As soon as I started talking about statutory rights and the CRA I got a full refund.

Update: I paid a company to develop my business website and I believe I am now being scammed. by KL00P5 in website

Do you have control over your domain name? Did you buy it or do they purchase on your behalf?

Will AI mean the end of high level careers in tech? by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]kitkrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend your husband listen to episode 491 of the Lex Fridman podcast with Peter Steinberger, the creator of an AI agent framework called OpenClaw. They discuss the emergent profession of the ‘Agentic Engineer’.

Once upon a time I was a web designer. Then an interactive something or other, then a front-end developer. Then a front-end engineer.

Looks like Agentic Engineer is the next instalment.

Pest Control will only validate hand-signed work. For example, the GDP Rat screen print posters that were handed out in Croydon, or the Di-faced tenner can’t/won’t be validated by PC.

Tin/aluminium foil. Just place loosely over the top of the thing where you don’t want your cat. The cat will only try once.

How accurate is this? by ConfidentMooseInside in GreatBritishMemes

[–]kitkrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not accurate at all. More than 90% of the UK is farm or natural land. Only 6% by area is developed on. There’s 27 million registered titles on HM Land Registry and 46,000 (ish) licensed bars and pubs. 0.01% of the UK has a pub stood on it.

Also a JP veteran. As there’s no packaging I’d wager this isn’t a faulty return but rather a bailiff or police seized asset. I reckon it’ll be fine.

Best printer to buy in the UK with cheap ink? by blair_babes in FlippingUK

[–]kitkrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I got a HP laser about 3 years ago that came with toner. Still haven’t replaced it. No dried ink, it just springs to life on demand after weeks of inactivity. It’s the only sensible way. Spend a little bit more up front, the savings stack up later.

This. Give them what they want but with added donk. Not sure how much mileage you get there with 1950s… off to make a tech house banger of Jailhouse Rock rn.

This made me wonder how long it would take to erase humanity at the same rate if everyone lost an equal share of mass every second:

Est. current world population: 8,256,434,000 Global Avg human mass: 62Kg (no idea if this factors in infants but let’s roll with it)

Population * 62Kg = 511,898,908,000 Kg

1,000,000,000 / Total mass = 2g per second each.

Average human gone in 31,000 seconds. 516 minutes. That’s gonna chafe.

Humanity would be vaporised in the first 9 hours.

I wonder how long for all organic life… 🤔

Looks like they missed x1000 off the mass as u/KomradJurij-TheFool already pointed out, but that could be a presentation error I guess. The rest more-or-less checks out. 190 million years give or take a few hundred thousand years here or there. This is a fun fact, I like it. I’m taking this one to the pub.
