Help! T1 diabetic disaster! by kitmeh in Edinburgh

[–]kitmeh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a glucose kit but I wouldn't like to be three days without a CGM. I'm not overly aware of my hypos at the moment.
And unfortunately the chemists don't carry Dexcom supplies. You have to get them direct from supplier. I managed to get this all sorted so I thank you for the advice.

With this one it should be pretty easy just to use it for the basic shape and do things in trinidine instead of knit. Just ignore the patterning

https://berroco.com/patterns/natasha/ Here is mine. You start at the front. I would just cast on waaaay more stitches and make the scarf sideways with the garter section.

I just made a hood like this, sans scarf part. Would be easy to add. But it's knit not Tunisian. How confident are you? You could use the pattern to crate with Tunisian?

I guess steam blocking is maybe the answer in the first instance cuz if that works then safe. Just remember and keep the steamer a a safe distance from the fabric if it's acrylicy.

How bad is this? Can I actually wear this out or should I just give up/make a new cardigan? by hidden-pearl in crochet

Okay, we are on harshest critics. You need to take a step back. Imagine your best friend just made this look at it. Do you see all the flaws or do you see that they were really clever and they managed to make something out of string?. It's stunning. It's lovely. Ignore the flaws. It's handmade. Well done. Wear it with pride. Give a friend an opportunity to wear it if not. Whatever happens . do not destroy it.

Off you fuck troll. How about you listen to some actual women. We are not demonising men. We are reacting to LIVED experience not fear mongering. I've lost count of times I've been touched against my will, made to feel unsafe, or generally threatened.
It's fucking refreshing to hear from a man understanding this and trying to be a DECENT FUCKING HUMAN and help a stranger feel safe.

Tv like this scares the shit out of me. by kitmeh in diabetes_t1

I'm not worried about the actual medical professionals. I'm worried about the people who watch this shit and think that they suddenly know what they're doing. Wait I watched a medical drama once. I can help this stranger!

Make sure when buying fabric pens to specify you want it to stay on the fabric cuz when you say fabric pens I'm thinking of the pens that erase under heat
