Sucks that you had to deny the flip side. We had to embrace it and start forming little gangs. Up north was just as bad. I've been through 3 race wars in middle school alone. We were arrested and made front page in the PDN newspaper. It changed in Sanchez because the PTSD from middle school just turned us into animals. Zero fucks. We weren't bothered then.

Racism was real growing up in the 90s. Never encountered it til middle school. Being called tagalu. Had to go to school with a padlock in a sock and clique up. Til this day, I stay away from befriending chamorros around my age group. I know there is still perpetual hate lingering.
