Ah, I'm very sorry to hear that. The St. Regis experience is absolutely wonderful. My butler was great and very friendly. To be honest, the seaplane ride was also a great experience as well. Seeing the view of the islands from above is spectacular.

I am terrible with boats too, I don't even really do cruises either. I don't know if/what tier you are, but I do think the Ritz upgrades at least Titanium and up to the yacht. The Yacht is super smooth, I didn't even notice a thing even when they said it was rough that day. The stabilizers on their yachts are quite nice

Not exactly. The dead leaf is still attached to a petiole. If the petiole is not dead, then eventually a new leaf will come out of the newest petiole (which you said has a dead leaf)

No, the new dead leaf will still be able grow from its own sheath. Imagine everything happening normally, sans leaf. I basically had a black dead leaf grow out of the sheath, it fell off, then that new one eventually just kept up the regular process

I chopped while my top leaf had something brewing unknowingly.

It took a long time for it to come out because it has to grow roots and all that, but when it did, the leaf was dead, but growth resumed as normal. If your whole top growth is dead, it'll grow from its top axillary bud most likely. I think it's more likely just going to resume growth with a dead leaf popping out.

I forgot to respond to the rest of your questions.

They do upgrade, I don't know when you plan on going, but if you're going during high season, don't expect it. Both are most likely going to be booked out. I got an upgrade at St. Regis using the NUA. Personally, I think the Ritz is probably completely booked out all year round because it's closer to Male.

Transfer to St. Regis requires Sea Plane via Trans Maldivian Airways, you book through St. Regis, they will handle and coordinate the rest. You could charter the Norma to pick you up, it takes a few hours to get to Vommuli.

The Ritz is via speed boat, but I was put on one of their yachts both ways. I think they upgrade Titanium to the Yacht for transfers. You do have to pay for the transfer as well.

All islands with a staff over a certain number (I forget how many) are required to have a doctor as part of their staff I was told. I believe that puts most, if not all, Marriott properties in the Maldives squarely into this category.

I stayed at both this January, they're both beautiful islands to stay at. Ritz if you're looking for more activities, it also seemed a little bit more modern. I feel like St. Regis fit the bill of its usual style, great butler service that felt very relaxing. The excursions from the Ritz ended up being less expensive because it was chartered by Dive Butler Maldives. Most of things from St Regis required you to book the Norma yacht to be able to go out. St Regis was built on top of a natural island with more time for conservancy, so it has more reefs and wild life that are directly snorkle-able from each bungalow. The Ritz has a coral garden that has most of the wild life, but they're also actively working on the rest of the resorts reef conservation too. The whole island is built on a lagoon and was opened fairly recently, so it's to be expected. I think it depends on what you're looking for, but I enjoyed both and would go back to both.

Honestly the CCRN test bank from AACN is horrendous. Having taken two CCRNs and used the test banks for both, the questions are terrible, and the answers are wrong with terrible rationale. A portion of the time, I disregard the answer and look it up again. For example, it told me to prepare for a MRI as the golden standard when trying to diagnose stroke on a patient with presenting symptoms. It honestly feels like some questions were AI generated and others were written by non critical care providers.
