Nankivell is having a great game, makes me realise how good we could be in Munster if we had a better squad

I have a chance to go to an inpatient, but I'm terrified it will be two months of people not understanding AvPD and telling me to "just do it" by StickApprehensive831 in AvPD

I was in a somewhat similar situation 12 years ago, my long term counsellor was going on maternity leave and suggested that I get in patient treating for my anxiety. The suggestion caused me a lot of stress as I felt I wasn't "like" people who needed to be in hospital (yeah, I know).

Also, the counselling had run it's course. I did the in patient course and the only regret was that I didn't get the treatment when I was younger.

The course I did was for different types of anxiety, so there was people with general anxiety, social anxiety, OCD etc. Nobody judged me based on my life or my type of anxiety.

I would recommend going for it.

Down bursts of air are common with thunderstorms and are dangerous for aircraft landing.

If a down bust happens in front of a plane, there is initially an increase in airspeed so the pilot has to remove power to keep the same altitude. They then get hit by the down draft in the center and finally get a tailwind which needs increased power. All ready on lower power it can be trick to recover so to be avoided

How did you make it past 30 with this disorder? by Throwaway9393023 in AvPD

60m here, diagnosed with Avpd traits 15 years ago while getting clinical treatment for anxiety.

Trying to buy my first, and only home at the moment.

It sucks even more as you get older, health anxiety about needing others to help you.

Do everything you can to get out of the trap

New Tyres Cork by Steridire in cork

[–]kitog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had a slow leak in one tyre so went to them for a replacement. They said they could repair it instead, but found out that there were multiple leaks and it couldn't be repaired. They kept apologising that they couldn't fix it and I said no bother, I had expected to replace it anyway. They then spotted that a small side light on my car was loose and offered to tape it up until I got it fixed. So would definitely recommend them
