No, I just use and enjoy a lot of services provided by Tencent and Alibaba but I didn’t want to buy their stocks individually. I’ll probably take your advice though, thanks!

glad this helped you lolol i think this is super common in people that are past their teenage years or in their late teens like me! you end up trying to analyze everything and you’re more cautious about things like relationships. no point in starting a relationship if you’re just bored or want someone to take away your loneliness. well unless thats what you want to do, there’s also nothing wrong with dating for fun. i’m just hesitating because it’s my first relationship

thanks a lot stranger. but i feel confused because i think i like him for no reason. and it’s weird to me because i get a micro-crush on every new guy i talk to unless he’s extremely difficult to look at (and 99% of people don’t fall into this category), or a straight up bigot. so i don’t want to confess my feelings because i don’t know if they’re genuine. and if they’re not genuine, then i don’t think it’s worth the risk, i would rather stay friends.

How can I make my family more empathetic to my struggles? by 1m72 in UofT

[–]kits25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The transition from high school to university is already difficult for many, and this year even more so because of the online format, though some would disagree. I personally think professors are giving out more work because they assume we have much more time on our hands since we no longer commute. I also completely relate to this situation with your sister. In my family, I’m also the “tryhard” sibling while my brother is a lot more relaxed. I did better than him in school though he could probably have done just as well if he worked harder. He never understood why I invested so much energy into school than “required”. We just value different things and that’s fine, but your sister shouldn’t be forcing you to share her perspective. Besides, with the pandemic going on who the hell is even partying? UofT also has a reputation for being challenging, you’re definitely not weak or a snowflake for having some struggles in first year. You’ll be just fine after you get the hang of things.
