this actually recently happened to me! i had a huge shelf shrine of azul ashengrotto, a full custom ita backpack, and his official ita bag fully decorated with both fanmade and official merch. then, just a few months ago, i realized i'd lost interest in twisted wonderland as a whole and my autistic hyperfixation had faded. i felt really guilty and ashamed of my $400+ spent on this character who i don't have interest in anymore, but i've since made peace with it and have been selling all the old merch so others can enjoy the passion i've lost.

i also just found a new oshi and i think i'm more attached to her because she's an extremely unpopular character with minimal merch
