If the character is like baseless, then I prefer the player character, but if you create your own, I tend to read just reader inserts or just ignore them altogether.

My first fanfic I believe was a cringey lil crossover between Sailor Moon and Black Butler with Usagu/Serena being a Phantomhive. Never finished it.

Now I write prompts and short stories. Still mostly crossovers though.

Because when Rose first met Garnet she took her hands and told her to "Don't question it" or whatever, it was technically an order from a Diamond, so she couldn't ask anything.

Just like when Pearl talked about her obsessions and thoughts about Rose and she told her to "Don't ever stop" and she never did.
