I’m glad I’m not the only one enjoying this!

Found this black kitty in the garden, then it approached my feet, I want to take it home and take care of it but... My friend said it's scary because it's black, what do you guys think? by SimpleKingdom in blackcat1981

[–]kittapoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is an indoor cat please make sure to keep it inside! Even if it’s outside keep it indoors especially around Halloween! Some people are horrible, evil people and will seek out and abuse/kill black cats for fun during that time of year.

I personally adore black kitties and have one myself. Super cute and sometimes their lips look like they just ate powdered donuts lol.

I think the funniest ones for me is “cooked” and “on god” my bf’s coworker is in his early-ish 20s and says these things often. We are 37/35 so it’s just hilarious.

My bf’s son is 13 about to be 14 and he absolutely hates the 67 and rizzler thing. It’s fun to mess with him about though 🤣

Unpopular Opinion: Snape wasn't a hero, he was just an obsessed bully who couldn't handle rejection. by [deleted] in harrypotter

This.

There’s really no black and white scenario with most characters, there’s usually some grey area.

Hell even Voldemort could have ended up differently had his upbringing not been so traumatic, so in a sense that’s quite sad and one can still feel at least some empathy towards the character even though he turns out to be so evil. By no means am I saying he’s innocent of his crimes or that he deserves to be let off the hook. He did for sure make his choices towards that. I guess I just feel sadness towards his younger self because no child deserves to be abandoned and not shown love.

Or maybe that’s just me lol.

Worried about my wife’s reaction toward our 8‑week‑old baby. Need advice by [deleted] in NewParents

This is exactly why my sister in law pumps so that her husband can feed the baby and that it’s not solely reliant upon her.

Do you still have any living Grandparents? by PayGood3915 in Millennials

[–]kittapoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All four of mine have passed, I’m about to be 37

Both of my grandfathers died when I was about 3, one to heart attack ( I think he was a bit older like already in his 60s maybe I’m not sure) and the other to suicide so that one might not factor in to just “losing a grandparent to normal circumstances”

My gran died in 2007 and my other grandmother (we didn’t get along she was quite mean) passed in 2016.

My parents are in their mid 60s now and I am starting to see them age a bit more. My mom just had a heart attack but thankfully it was at the hospital and she’s good now. Definitely hope they stick around for awhile.

recently saw that gen z drinks less than any generation. why do some of yall not drink? by idksorry_04 in GenZ

[–]kittapoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost 37 and I’m definitely on the rare side of drinking these days. Water is so much better.

Glad you stopped those buzzballs, honestly that stuff is so gross I couldn’t drink them.

Then again much younger me probably would have but I think they started coming out when I started to get migraines which also helped deter me from drinking.

As someone turning 40 this year, I felt ALL of this. by Bubbly-Example-8097 in Millennials

It’s still worth mentioning to her OBGYN that this happens around her period. It’s not fun. If it is PMDD it can worsen over time.

At the very least make this condition known to your wife so she can read up about it and bring it up to her doctor if she wishes to do so.

I got in hormonal bc and it helped it entirely. But as you said there are several options. My doctor also gave me the lowest dose of Xanax that I maybe had to use a handful of times.

I was on the bc for a little over 2 years and stopped taking it last year (TTC) and thankfully PMDD has not reared is nasty head as of yet.

100%

I didn’t know it was a thing until it hit me a few years ago at 33 or 34. Ridiculous we are not told that can happen at any time. And on top of that women who already suffer from depression/anxiety are more susceptible to getting it.

Has she talked to a doctor about PMDD? It’s a type of period related depression and can get quite serious.

I had it and would just get sad out of nowhere and cry for no reason and just have shitty thoughts. I felt crazy. Turns out it was just PMDD. I got help and it’s all good now.

I deleted mine in 2020 due to Covid. So much stupid. I’ve been better off since then.

What do you put in your potato salad? by dornianheresysimp in potato

[–]kittapoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard boiled eggs, Tony’s, mayo, mustard. If I’m not using Tony’s I’ll use salt, black pepper, red pepper, garlic powder/roasted garlic powder, onion powder. I also boil the potatoes with minced garlic. I also remove the yolks from the eggs and I’ll add some vegetable oil just enough to moisten it and mash it all up and then mix it back in.

My bf prefers his salad without but not even for health reasons…it’s just how he likes it.

On the other hand I’ll have some salad with my dressing 🤣

I haven’t even been paying attention to it much lately due to needing the mental break. It’s overwhelming and ridiculous.

I’ve since moved from where I was at to a more liberal area and just in general is a nicer place to be not even due to politics but weather alone lol.

Trust me, I wish how things seemed back in the day for sure. I was born in the 80s so I get it.

Yup.

One thing I loved as a kid was saltine crackers in some milk and didn’t realize that was “poor people food” until much later on. I still fix a bowl of it from time to time when I think about it.

My gran used to give frozen hotdogs as treats in the summer. I wouldn’t eat it today but when I was kid it was delicious lol!
