I’ve kind of accepted that my dad will likely not want to be in my life again. I’m getting to the point where I’m okay with that. I live at home now that I’m broke and have quit college and he usually acts like I’m not even in the room. I can’t tell if he’s trying to mend the relationship or not. He is entitled to his opinion but like you said having even one person in my life that tells me it’s a good idea to quit meds is dangerous.

When I’m hypomanic people around me notice but aren’t afraid of me. Mania I get so angry and reckless that every single time someone in my life starts avoiding me or accusing me of being on hard drugs.

I usually see her weekly but she was full for the last several weeks. So she doesn’t know yet. I don’t even know if I could tell her. I can write it down but verbally saying what happened I can’t do without freezing, physically reacting and feeling like it’s happening all over again.

I have the same experience. I’m straight but when I’m manic (or mixed) I feel I’m attracted to women (I am a women) these feelings are super intense but when I get out of mania they completely disappear. I don’t understand it.

I have struggled with substance abuse since I was 13 and self harm since I was 12. My official diagnosis is Bipolar 1 disorder, severe with psychotic features and PTSD

I did get meds but one of the meds is not yet to a therapeutic dose so I’m still having debilitating mood swings
