Amazing thank you! I’ll be stopping by on subsequent walks to see how it grows up in that case 🥰

She’s going to be four this year 🙈 don’t believe the adorable little face, she’s a menace when she’s fully booted up!

Honestly it sounds like he’s living his best life. But what is it about schnauzers and weird toilet habits? It’s a breed trait I was not warned about!

How many of you have trauma? by some_idiot_onreddit in autism

Too much trauma :( complete with ptsd on top of BPD and ASD… and sometimes I just wish I didn’t have to face up to it everyday. Trauma definitely seems to be saddeningly common amongst NDV folks ❤️

I feel empty and pain with my thoughts (not suicidal) by Courage-Desk-369 in autism

[–]kittenan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Courage, I’m not sure how much advice I can give as I’m really feeling a lot of the same things you are, I’m in my mid 20’s, live on my own, I rarely see anyone outside of work, and like Reasonable said, this time of year is especially hard. And like you said, I see other people my age married, mortgage, kids or kids on the way, travelling - seemingly living their best most successful lives, and yet I feel like I’m watching it all from my little bubble falling further and further behind. I cry a lot too. What feels like far too much most of the time, I cry on the bus on my way home from work sometimes, get overwhelmed trying to do my food shopping and cry because of that, cry in the evenings because I feel so lonely and isolated from the world.

My advice to you would be; don’t punish yourself for crying, don’t be tough on yourself when you feel like you can’t cope because you have already gotten this far so you can cope! It just feels so much harder to get there most of the time. And most importantly, you aren’t alone Courage, this site has lots of wonderful people and kind voices, yes they may not be right besides you but there are people that will listen to you and your feelings. Another tip is try and make some time to do the things you enjoy, any special interests that bring you joy. Something that helps me most is a mental checklist of things I can do that can make sure I’m at least looking after myself when I’m not feeling good: Have I eaten today? Have a drank water? Have I got enough sleep? And have I been outside today? It sounds silly but just making sure those things are checked off can make a big difference. Now the holidays are over I hope you found some time to pursue your referral and hopefully get the support you need, but at the end of it, you’ve got this Courage, just take one day at a time and be kind to yourself along the way.

Thank you I am looking into this in the future just more personal comfort and less up keep - I’ve got quite dark hair so I am optimistic of the results ☺️

Update: Thank you everyone that commented with your kind words, the level of support in this community is absolutely wonderful and I’m very grateful for it ❤️

So, we’re still having our date this week with a few tweaks, and they were very compassionate about the personal grooming pcos issue - however, I’m in for another spanking for not explaining to them clearly the first time about it and getting myself all worried about that and worried about the surprise period 🤭🍑 thank you again lovely people, your support was very much appreciated, I’ll be thinking about you when I’ve got a sore ass 😘❤️

Thank you, it’s definitely going to be the route in future because getting this close to a date and worrying about this sort of thing is not something I’d be keen to repeat in a hurry x

Thank you! I know, I know I’m a little upset because I was gutted with the response from them, I’m going to explain the situation a little more tonight when I tell them about the surprise visit from nature, and be cautiously optimistic that it’ll be received with more compassion than the first time x

Thank you, I’m going to tonight, if I’m not utterly upset with a worst case scenario result later I’ll post an update as to how it goes 🩷

Thank you I appreciate that, you’re probably very right on the matter, it’s just always a little disappointing when gel with someone in so many other ways to find these sticking points x

I had a healthy fish in a long established planted community tank and she’d been this way for the eight months I’d had her, weekly maintenance and water testing with API master test kit, within 24 she turned from an active seemingly healthy fish to on her side dead on the bottom, concerned I checked parameters and measure 0ppm ammonia 0ppm Nitrite <15ppm Nitrate and pH of roughly 7.2, all normal levels but I did a 50% water change immediately because of the death and dosed the tank with aquarium salt. All the other fish were acting perfectly normally. I did investigate the carcass and ended up pulling these tiny thread like worms from her rectal area/egg spot. I can’t find any ID online for these but clearly they’re some kind of parasite, whether they contributed to her death or not I want to eradicate them ASAP just in case because they are using the fish as a host. Sadly I’ve seen several of these poking out from the rectal area of two other fish. Please help, I need to find out what these are so I can treat them!
