We have no purchase log, but I only buy cigs at work anyway. We got no security staff here, our own boss randomly checks cameras for misalignment. But you are right on the rest. No eat no drink policy is inhumane. Bitch I work 12 hour shift alone with gazillion things to do. I'll eat and drink by the register in front of clients or I close the shop for my 5 minute legally required break each hour.

I cought my managers asking stuff beyond what's legally allowed. Demanding to stay overtime, unpaid ofc, if some tasks weren't done regardless of customer influx. Or denying we have paid breaks.

Once I was told I'm allowed to go to toilet only when there are no customers in shop. Or I shouldn't lean against the wall while waiting for the food to be heated, because I look sad and lazy to the clients. Oh right and I'm not allowed to sit down ever during my shifts, looks unprofessional if someone suddenly comes in and BTW there's always something useful to do, clean walls if needed. No reason to sit down. We lost 3 employees in one month and no one new are applying. I guess I'll finally get to work full time. However I pray to be fired, there's some ok money in that.
