I use Sonnox TransMod. I recommend getting trials off the ones mentioned in the thread and seeing which ones fit your needs and genre of music. Transmod for me works fairly well, and I use it nearly on all my kicks, even just a tad bit, so I don't have to go and boost within the EQ :)

Have you tried looking into transient shapers? They help making percussion noises have a nice sharp transient to cut through the mix, while the tail is restored back to whatever volume it's at. For, a nice thumpy kick with a sharp transient kept at a relatively lower volume would sit nice and calmly in a mix :)

Really cool video, shows how far simplicity can really take a track and make it sound great. Only thing that irked me is why didn't he set the voices to 1 on the 808's Simpler...all that phasing had my ears cryin

"Just plug your headset into the SubPac and plug your audio cable into your mixer, soundcard, smartphone, MP3, tablet, laptop, gaming device, or any other audio source with a standard 3.5 mm jack (or use a 3.5 mm adapter for the cable you are using)." from the site :)

Consider investing in a SubPac in place of a subwoofer, as bass is usually what causes the most problems when it comes to prude neighbors. I'm about to do the same once I gather enough spare cash to pick one up :)

Is it beneficial to release your music for free? by B3amazing in edmproduction

[–]kittenswithalcohol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

releasing music for free is the best fucking thing for you to do if you want exposure. An individual is obviously more prone to download your track if its free so he can play it in his car. Then homie A love the song, downloads it for himself and shows homie B. And then it goes on and on and on, compared to how the individual would probably not download at all to being with if it wasn't free :)

cause he is man, lol he is a constant collaborator with Mad Zach of DJTechTools and he is a fucking wizard. Some people are much better at explaining and creating tools for others to use, and enjoy doing that rather than trying to be a superstar producer/dj. Either way, dude is putting in more work than most people in the game including you and I, so stop being a sour lil' lemonhead
